What's your expectation for the 2nd test from Bangaldesh?
Guys and gals,
knowing what you know about
Bangladesh, what do you expect from them in the 2nd test?
Mine is to not get outplayed in the first 2 sessions of the match otherwise this match will be over inside 3 days.
I know that some of you might think I’m a pessimist, especially after their good performance in the first test, but as the saying goes, “Burning Child dreads the fire”. Too often
Bangladesh team has made us hope high hopes only to shatter it like a house of cards. So, I just want to take a very realistic approach. Surely our beloved team is capable of pushing any team on our day but at the same time is very much vulnerable and consistently inconsistent with their temperament. And more often than not, they tend to always loose focus and penetration as the series goes on. It happens for 2 reasons:
first, our opponents (who usually are superior in both temperament and technique) figures out our weakness and
second, they get set with our pitch condition and play accordingly.
Bangladesh team is also known as a great front runner. If things happen very positively at the beginning we tend to do good and that’s exactly why first 2 sessions in every test match is very, very crucial for us. And that’s why I hope for a first 2 good sessions and then we have a match on.
GOOD LUCK Bangaldesh!!!!

Innings defeat for us, in best case 7-10 wicket defeat.

I didn't ask for your opinion on my response
I know what to expect, even without your unsolicited advice
After the way we pushed them around in the first Test, I'm expecting nothing less. This match will be held at the practice ground of our team. I DO expect for us to come out winners.

What kind of a question is this? We want a win no matter how small it is. That's it.

I will go with spitty, we may end up to an innings defeat by a very low margin, but a defeat by 5 or more wickets is definitely on the card.
Expectation boys.

pushing them again into the 5th day will be great.
But I will settle for a 4 day game with a 100 score, and a team total > 300.
What may happen is a 200 and a 175 score.

First two sessions of what? Bowling or batting.. if it’s batting, we should try to hold the wicket as long we can.. May be we should promote Rajin to open with Tamim... he got good temperament.. can't beleive Zunaed failed in both innings and our Ash followed him nicely.. very disappointing.. If we bowl and have early breakthrough, yes we definitely have chance.. getting 250+ would be ideal in that slow pitch.. let’s hope we make 300+ in the first innings and restrict them to 200-220.

Of course my heart wants Bangladesh to win by a large margin but realistically speaking we had our chance in the first test and unfortunately we could not capitalize it. We are not going to get New Zealand in that spot again in the second test. Unless our boys come up with something extra ordinary I see a huge defeat coming our way.

It will be a low scoring match just like the SA game.
Whoever wins it, will win it on the 4th day.

take the match to the 5th days and a respectable run collection
Bd played extremely well in the first match, so that wont happen again this time, so dont expect too much from our fragile batting order
