This thread taste very sour. The title deceives. I promise, in this forum i would never again talk about Javed Omar. Hope brother Spit, brother thebest, brother Sadi would join me. What's the benefit in discussing sour matters?

Translation:
Forum without bitter discussions is like curry without salt. There's too many "agree with you" kind of thread in Banglacricket forum anyway. There's not much chance of finding a topic as good as the Golla one in near future.

Haven't we discussed/dissected enough on this guy/topic? When do you guys draw the line? All BC members know your stance already. How many times you have to repeat the bashing. You aren't the selectors, nor your comments (no matter how correct they may be) would change their perception.

This is falling in the same category of "Koi din por por.." I know you guys are better than this.

এবারের আর আগের পোলের বিষয়টা এক না। ভোটটা দিয়ে ফেলেন।

You probably didn't notice that I didn't write anything about Javed in this thread yet, not even a single line

I think it's only a few members of this forum who feel bored, lonely, insecure and need more things to fill up their day are trying to form some sort of JO-bashers club.

Surely JO's slow ODI batting can get on my nerves sometimes but that's how he always plays and that's why he's in the team. He manages to contribute enough to deserve a place in the team. I don't see him going anywhere at least until WC2007 is over so please give it up already! BCB or the selectors doesn't give a flying rat's a**e about what you guys think.

C'mon.. how can you say no to that face?

Surely Brett Lee wants some of it tonight-

We all know that but this is where we express our views and don't give flying rat's a**e about what javed lovers think

some people have stated pretty lame reasons like "oi betar batting dekhte amar bhallage na" othoba "oi betar batting dekhle ghum paay"...imo that's just cricket murkhota...just because he's boring to watch doesn't make him ineffective.

sure everyone's entitled to his/her opinion, but there must be sufficient logic to back it up. the reasons that some people state for not liking JO are pretty hasshokor, and deserve no merit.

anyways, i think he's doing an ok job and has been speeding it up in odi's recently as well, but if someone else performs better in the long run, then he should be replaced. as for now, i go with the first option in the poll.

well.... sorrry mate! Then you're gonna be disappointed pretty much. I am, to be frank, neither a JO fan nor a JO bashter. I am just OK with him... and will be pretty happy to move on when we can find a replacement for him.

Furthermore.... bashing/praising a plyer like JO is the worst ever idea for spending my valuable time. It's quite hard for me to digest that someone would waste such big share of his/her valuable time for JO... that's where Spitty simply surprises me!

i still think javed does a decent job in this batting line-up of mindless dashers... sometimes u can see that he's trying his best to stay there.
he may not be the prettiest in terms of grace and elegant batting, but as someone mentioned before.. he eats up 60-odd balls per innings, thus somewhat falls in the mould of a traditional opener.

anyway... chalaye jao... forum gorom rakhar jonne eirokom topics dorkar

PS: i would reconsider my position after the current series.. but for now, i go with the fans

Why Omar not Ash and others. None has average above 25? Bashars's ODI average is 19.

62 %/ 37% Fan:Basher...hmmm

I think the figure says a lot.

The bashers will have a very hard time because he has been quite consistent in the recent times. Don't worry I am not in any of the clubs. But i guess it's time to give up for the bashers and let time take control. Doesn't anyone remember Dravid's batting before he took up stand up wicket keeping for India, it used to be even more frustrating. Look what he has become now for India. But supporting the basher club, dravid was a 1-down batsmen not the opening batsan.

Anyways since the fans are more, lets hail him as a success rather than a failure.

Atleast for the time being :bald:
