Guys have a check what Davendra Bishoo just did to pakistan and also what Uasir shah and adil rashid has been doing. Ish sodi from NZ cam be counted as decent too. Just notice what they can do to an oppoaition! Just wished we had a leggie quite as good is this.

Sabbir's inclusion makes no sense, mainly because he hasn't played a single long inning in ODI. His ODI record is below average. He's a solid batsman who doesn't have the temperament at all. Back in the day when players were brought in to play test, the worries used to be technique related. Tamim, Shakib etc, didn't have the knowledge to hold a test bat. Most of these new guys are more technically sound.

I'm hoping Sabbir playing test cricket improves his temperament and he learns to graft long innings in all versions of the game. He's very fortunate to be getting the baggy green so easily. He's lucky to be playing for Bangladesh. Anywhere else...

Nasir Hossain is a much better overall player in all format than Sabbir! His stats speaks for itself! I don't get why the ignorance towards Nasir. I assume because he isn't flashy and as "cool" as Sabbir. Sabbir just riding on his swag and vibe.

More worried about Shafiul and Hom's inclusion than Shabbir. Shabbir can at least score 30-40 runs or get 1-2 wickets along with sharp fielding. But Shafiul will go for 100+ with no wickets and don't even want to talk about Hom

Shafiul is fine. I'd rather have him over Rubel. And I'd rather they not use Taskin, Al-Amin in tests.
Rubel and Al-Amin should focus on returning for NZ ODI series.

Al-amin has performed better than Shafiul in the last few years, and can at least contain the batsmen if not take wickets as seen in the practice match. This will allow a spinner like Shakib at the other end to take wickets. But Shafiul with his standard medium pace bowling with no variety will offer easy scoring opportunity and reduce the pressure, he is also not a wicket taking bowler.

As for Nasir, he should have been there instead of Hom, Shabbir has been in decent form with both ball and bat, so giving him a try is not a bad idea considering future benefits..

Also, outside of player selection, I am really worried about Mushy's captaincy. He will set ultra defensive field, bring in the wrong bowler at the wrong time and loose the match mentally as soon as there is one long English partnership or we loose few wickets.

I am very very afraid Adil Rashid + Chris Woakes + Stuart Broad will wreck havoc in the lineup(these three in top form in the test format in the last year or so)...

Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes more than handy with the ball.

I really hope they make a slow, turner.. similar to the one between Bangladesh Vs Zimbabwe first test last year. I know they have Adil Rashid but we also have Tamim, Imrul, Mominul, Shakib that are lefties in the squad. They should be ok with playing him even with his variations. They only have Moen and Rashid where we have Shakib-Taijul-Miraz-Riyad and maybe Shabbir. Our spin attack will be stronger and better variety then theirs.

In these kind of low scoring tracks, you only need 1-2 steady innings to get a dependable score and the English batsmen are less likely to succeed then ours due to the unfamiliar conditions. But make a batting track, our batsmen at best can match theirs. No chance of beating them with the likes of Root, Cook, Bairstow...

We shouldnt be aiming for a draw at home anymore. Even with a depleted bowling attack, we have a better shot at winning then they do. Teams like England are terrible in sub continent conditions. Dont let them get away with it by making a highway.
