Bro these type of statistics don’t matter in the real world.

Just because something didn’t happen till now is not a guarantee it won’t happen in the future.

Just because you cross the street safe 99 times does not guarantee your safety the 100th time.

Another statistician that does not operate in the real world.

In those 27 years, different men have wore an uniform. Composition of every team and situation is unique. It does not mean anything what happened in 92, or any other four year gap. These are not reliable indicators for telling the results of a future game.

If they beat SA and WI...they will finish ahead of us. We need them to lose one of those games.

I hope our team aren't looking that closely at other results. It's just a distraction. It will be hard enough just to focus and beat Afghanistan, let alone India and Pakistan. Their entire focus should be on the next game, and nothing else.

The Magic number is 12 points. Those who fail to get their would be vulnerable to others result. We have to win all remaining three games and then pray. 3 wins takes us to 11.

England could be ousted outright then if they lose two of the remaining three. A light ray of hope.

I sure hope the coaching is telling them, one game at a time. It’s fun for us to think about different scenarios but I hope the only thing players are thinking is how do we beat AFG.

I think Bangladesh should focus one game at a time and give it their best shot.

Above is a famous quote from the Gita that we should do our duty (karma) and not focus on the end result, because end result is not in your hands but karma is definitely in your hands.

Coming back to World Cup, we have basically no 3 and no 4 position semi final slot for grabs. But there is uncertainty and almost everyone is in the race.

Best solution, take it one game at a time and hope for the best.

My response to the main post actually in agreement with you, but don't we all love some statistics as long as we do not become one.

There is now a big chance that Srilanka will go all out and we know when they work as a team anything can happen, what if they beat India.

You are responsible for your karma, good or bad. We have done a lot of bad, the worst of all is not getting a better wicketkeeper. So for that, we paid heavily and will continue to pay.

For the time being, SL aka Haturi has overtaken us in the points table. What can be more painful than this?

^ Why? LOL. You aren't happy for Malinga? Rolling back the clock like that. Their match reinvigorated my interest in this whole tournament.

True. But things are not bleak. Bangladesh most improved team in the World Cup. Everyone was talking about England taking the Cup this time, now there is a scenario where they can go out.

If Aus, IND, NZ win all of their remaining matches

WI & SA beats SL

Afg beats Pak

We can still go through by beating Pak while losing to Ind
