Default Anurag Thakur: India cricket board chief ordered to resign

India's Supreme Court has ordered the country's cricket board chief to resign for failing to implement reforms. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-38487340

Thakur, Shirke removed from BCCI posts

Good decision by the supreme court. But will the next appointment have any benefits for Bangladesh? some reports are suggesting Sourav Ganguly likely to be next BCCI Chief. Don't follow Indian cricket much, but a very good step to clean and make things right. What's your take on this whole issue?

Not true. U clearly haven't experienced enough of the Aussies & the English.

All those atrocities by BCCI was just them tryna catch up to the level of Aus & Eng.

Decline of BCCI is even worse for cricket as a whole. A strong, honest and passionate BCCI is the way to go...for rest of the cricketing world, specially board like us.

We should support BCCI so that we can have more opportunity to play and prosper...

A brave and wonderful decision taken by Indian Supreme Court

I hope our judiciary system is as brave, independent and honest like the Indian judiciary system.

Ya'll are such a forgetful bunch! Remember what happened to us when Srinivashan was bcci president? Remember how our icc president was humiliated? Remember how they were trying to split test teams in 2 tier until Thakur said no to this. Remember how dalmiya got us the test status? Thakur was a close friend of dalmiya and he was removed. I just hope they find another BD supporter in bcci. We need a strong advocate of cricket in general in such a big post. Like it or not, they call all the shots in cricket world. We need a friend and not foe in that post.

^^ We are a forgetful bunch indeed. He did us a great favor by standing up to India's own nominated ICC chairman Shashank Manohar, not let the two tier pass.

I agree, if it were not for Anurag we would be playing second tier cricket and forget about getting teams like Aus, Eng and India to tour us.

Also Dalmiya was the one that repaired the relations between our two boards after idiots like Srini and our very own Lotus damaged it.

It was Srinivasan and the current CEO of ICC Dave Richardson along with Giles Clarke of ECB who were the architects of the so-called Big-Three takeover, not Shashank Manohar.

Shashank Manohar was vocal against the role of Big 3 big time. Here it is:

We are talking about power, corruptions and accountability here, not about Dalmiya and how he helped us!

Yeh but you wouldn't want an honest person at the helm of the BCCI having a less than favourable attitude towards us would you?
