Big and very proud moment for Litton Das. He should make the most of it so that he may get IPL/PSL/Big Bash contracts too

So they let shakib and Liton play but they wouldn’t let afif play? Why?

I think fizz is a big part of his own problems, hidden injuries/niggles that have then become bigger injuries. Also a fast bowler will generally be more prone to injury, ontop of that afif is currently only playing t20s for the national team so it’s not like he is playing all formats.

Would’ve been a good experience for him surely....

Pasting the two teams' Facebook pages below, for Bangladeshi fans to vent and spew should either team management decide to rest their sweethearts in one game or the other:

Shakib will be selected for his bowling. Will do OK. Batting will have max one 50.

Liton will be benched most of the time. If selected, will play one or two good knocks.

Liton will have to play as a specialist batsmen, since Glenn Phillips is keeping...then again, Jamaica's campaign already over.

Glen Phillips might return home.

Average start by Litton. Not sure why they played him in the middle order though.

Hope he has couple of good games.

Very few people here even care about the IPL. No one will care about some 2nd rate leageu like CPL. So rest easy Vroom Vroom.

Glad Liton is getting the recognition he deserves. His batting is really pleasing to the eye. I think he is also the better keeper than Mushfique against pace bowling. Because of mushy's height and reach, he always stands too far behind the wicket against pace. As a result, in low bouncy wickets (in Bangladesh), a lot of the times the edge reaches him/fist slip in one bounce.

Shakib performed like a Champion, locals like Holder duos were pathetic at best

Shakib has always been a consistent performer. Even when he struggled with batting (came to bat at no8), he always made up with his bowling.

However this is probably the year that he peaked. His WC performance has been outstanding, wish the team did more.

Shakib batting at 3 in CPL is massive.

This means people are recognizing his true ability

Has to do with the fact that they saw litton beating the **** out of them in the world cup Batting in the middle order.

Jamaica has strong top order anyway

In this format Litton should bat at the top tho

Shakib is just an average T20 batter in the grand scheme of things. He's no Kohli, or ABD, or even an Eoin Morgan.

Shakib performed good. Made valuable 22, took a c&b with 20 runs given and then saved some runs. Sammy and co. is now at a spot of bother as tail is exposed.

Probably Barbados will topple over Jouks but Shakib getting out to Fawad Alam was a bit ugly although because of a great catch by Ingram close to ropes

Poor Iceman

When the team really needed him he faltered, even presence of old Pak players like Malik makes him tremble.

Brandon king having a very good tournament, if he’s not picked for WIs next t20 campaign then it would be very fishy, probably even earnt a spot in the odi team given his form. Although I find his sudden improvement kind of strange, he’s always been talked about as a talent but all of a sudden has exploded this cpl, needs to keep up his consistency to really help WI cricket get some glory back.

WI got some interesting pace bowling prospects but it’s like they hold them back and don’t develop them. Chemar holder, ray Jordan, oshane, alzarri, Keon Harding, McCoy, bishop, drake, Odean smith, springer (prob others ive missed).

I mean where is ronsford Beaton? That guy was talented in u19s, didn’t develop but eventually got to the national team, then done for chucking, then given the green light but after that green light I have not heard from him for about a year give or take and he was in the WI side when he got done, where is the support?

Let’s not forget batting prospects like lil chanderpaul, lil kallicharran and others, hety has dropped he ball, hope has kind of stagnated as has kraigg Braithwaite.

Been hearing good things about Romario shepherd but haven’t seen him play.
