Edit: Actually, the selectors right now do net harm. Meaning, we would be better off with no selectors! Just have Domingo and Papon calling all the shots. Papon has to sign off on the match sheet anyway as it stands, that's the only reason I am keeping him in there. Otherwise, in an ideal world of course, I would disband BCB and let any of the big corporate houses run our cricket. The product would be improved.
No criticism of mushfiq's stupidity during batting today?

Very true and good thinking.

'We don't have to give our 100%, 60-70% is enough to win against team like Afghanistan" - Saifuddin

Give your 100% please, don't risk!!

Not a Carnot efficiency.

Is it arrogance or lack of complete self awareness?

Whatever, it is only a matter of time before this garbage talker/village idiot is dispatched to every corner of the park and drowned into utter oblivion.

Why are you guys twisting what he said!!!!???

Unfortunately whoever above did a translation did not do justice, the actual meaning what he said got lost while changing to English. He said, it is still possible to win even giving 60-70% of our potential against AFG. I think he actually meant, if we can give 100% stopping us would be really tough.

Players will say things to boost themselves and teammates before a crucial final, what is so big deal about it?

LOL, it is not about the truth, it is about the gesture. Win/lose we are still well below in ranking, Shakib clearly mentioned it during last presentation

Ask yourselves people, does Bd deserve to win?

Even a new team like Afg had the decency and self respect to remove a bad wicket keeper. Shahzad claims he was fit, but that the board did not want him.

While Bd continues to reward Rahim for his repeated mistakes with more opportunities.

That is the difference between the two sides. Yes, there is other stuff too, but this is the real karmic difference.

^ What's more sad is that you remove just one God damn name - Shakib, the team starts looking like a mega associate. Not to mention, Shakib is no kholi nor some magnificent bowler, he is average in both department most days. Yet, majority of the time we win because of him. Such is the sad state of our team.

Exactly. Self quoting myself about our last match win

- Inclusion of Shabbir and Nazmul and overlooking Yasir and Roni Talukdar
- Liton remaining very inconsistent
- Won but "gadha pani khay ghola kore khay" manner
- Team needed Shakib to bail them out
- There were couple of misfields and catch miss

Domingo Disagrees with Saifuddin (ডমিঙ্গোর সাইফুদ্দিনের সাথে দ্বিমত পোষণ)

Quote:

English Version

Quote:
Mohammad Saifuddin had yesterday said that if all the players play at 60-70 percent, it would be possible to match Afghanistan. Domingo was clear that only giving 100 percent and also showing improvements can get the Tigers success.

“I don’t think we can win with 60 per cent. We have to play very well. If we play 60% and Afghanistan play 50%, they will beat us. That’s our challenge. We have to get better. If we don’t raise our intensity, Afghanistan is going to beat us.”

I think something is "lost in translation".

Not sure why Saifuddin would say that 60-70% by all players should be enough to win a game against Afg? It doesn't make sense to me.

He prolly meant they're only 60-70% good enough for international cricket, except for Shakib offcourse.

News is that Sabbir will be dropped either way, Naim or Rubel will replace him.

Domingo wants to go with four pacers on a green Mirpur top. They will make the final choice before the match.
