You think I give damn about that?

It's my team, and I run it how I want to.

No, NOOO. Nooo. I mean no thanks. I prefer to be Sporting Bengal

Our brand is unique, we have a long term vision. We thrive to be successful, even if that means making sacrifice in the short term.

Currently, I have $1.6 million in Sporting Bengal's bank account. We are focusing more on getting the fan base right, and generating income.

In the future, we will compete against the best, because that's what we aspire to do.

We my friend, are Sporting Bengal.

^^ Now that was unnecessary.

Some of my youths are on their way to represent their respective countries. And I will be glad when that day comes, because I will be proud that they came and trained through Fleabottomer's academy.

Lot of patience from Sporting Bengal fans will be required

Boys are making sacrifice, boys are trying hard, its a wonderful project.

But at the end, patience, support and encouragement from fans needed a lot.

Go on, promotion is just around the corner. Keep on pushing. Don't be too hesitant, the prize is glorious. Don't be complacent.

Beautiful win by the boys, sitting on second place. Looks like we'll finish the season in that position.

Halogens on unbelievable run in OD league - I really hope they get promoted. Team has solid experienced players, good chemistry amongst them. The lineup seem to be very consistent!

Yeah. Kinda enjoying the run....

I play some inexperienced guys along with the experienced ones.

Right now, I'm prepping Bilal Abro to be the future opening batsman of the team, kid is only 20 & came through from my academy and played all his youth matches with me. Good prospect. I gave him a tough job to do, open the batting and bowling today.

Good to see the other youngster stepping up to the plate with a fine century. Fabulous knock by Kaisar Asghar.

As for promotion, I don't think we will.

^^ that is what makes me a proud manager.

I connect with these guys. Following them from their youth careers to the big league.

Interesting story of Louis Schwerdt. After his youth career was over, I put him in the market, he got sold...couple weeks later saw him in the market, and bought him.

He's been an integral part of my senior team ever since. He's a special player.

I was very close to doing that with one of my players that I sold. But didn't risk it - turned out well.

Some of my players that I sold play in top divisions - I wish I had the finance to keep them.
They were brilliant players, the smiths, Irvine's, my captain Gouly.. special players.

Another impressive game by the boys.

Losing the toss and sent in to bat on a green wicket under clouds. 20-year old Bilal Abro the experienced Yuvraj Pathan put on 44 for the 1st wicket in good time. Pathan went for 26(18). Abro got to his half-century and was dismissed soon after for a well played 52(47).

TheN skipper Randolph Martin and Louis Schwert took the attack to the opposition bowlers. Helping us finish with a healthy 204. Martin was unbeaten on 65(29), and Schwert unbeaten on 37(14).

The bowlers buoyed by that total to defend. Attacking the batsmen. It took them 16 overs to bowl out the opposition for 85.

Still on 2nd place, and it doesn't look like we'll be going anywhere.

Looking forward to the youth matches coming up

If there was ever a time needed for an innings like this, then here it is by the talented Suwandaratne. Behind very early in this chase, losing 3 wickets. I went to sleep after that...Woke up this morning to see that the legend has played one of the best innings under pressure in club history, good support from Burke also, unbroken partnership that took us home:

^Very good knock under pressure on a difficult wicket - a sign of greatness in future.

I bought in a new player called Hazrath Hashim - his a finisher, only 22.

Seems to be very talented, needs development work for a season.

^^ he's already past 40K rating.

I though that he was gonna get selected for his national team but he was overlooked.

It's good that he had the maturity to shoulder this knock after bowling his full quota of overs.

Big respect for Burke also, another special player for me...he opened the bowling, and stuck with Suwandaratne in that partnership, his 40 runs came in only 40 something balls, he was positive.

This team keeps on impressing me all the time, it is a good sign of things to come for the club.

Hazrat, is he from the UAE? Train him well, feed him well also. You might have to import camel meat for him since he is a finisher might need that camel power.

What I usually would do is buy 16 year olds, train them up a little, if they have promise and that special it factor, I keep them in the team...if not, I'll sell

I'm a very reluctant seller though ..I know that sounds counterintuitive, but I do have a great deal of admiration of players.

Like for instance, after spending most of his career batting at number 11 spot, I promoted wicket keeper Rashid up to order, he only made 2 runs, but those were his first runs of his career. I cheered his first runs.
