point to reiterate: give Nayeem Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain a long extended run in tests...

Add Nurul to this list as our WK. And please no Mithun or Sabbir or Al Amin. Riyad also needs to perform or get dropped.

Why such a long gap between tests?

I don't understand the craze over spinners. Miraz is the worst player in BD team. Not just as a bowler, as an athlete too, he is the worst. He doesn't have the stamina to play 5 days tests. Miraz should be dropped from every format. Thanks

Tamim (bhai jodi khelte chay)
Shadman
Mominul
Kayes
Mosaddek
Riyad (c)
Liton
Miraz
Rahi
Al Amin
Ebadat

Extras: Saif Hasan, Nayeem, Fizz, Shoriful
Not a bad side at all. However, I would easily sub in Saif for Imrul, Nayeem for Miraz, and Shoriful for Al Amin. I would still keep Kayes in the squad because you may need him as a backup WK or concussion sub.

I just hope selectors are sensible enough to keep Mithun out of the 15.

Yeah, Mithun sucks. complete hack, only thing I give him credit for is back to back 50s in NZ tour.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto is also a must for Tests, He also needs to be given an extended run instead of Kayes. Kayes can focus on the shorter formats for now. Nurul has a test 50 against West Indies, might as well give him another go for Keeping in Tests.

Bangladesh think tank is so braindead. 20 years on and hardly any improvement anywhere. it's quite sad and pathetic. I want to quit I want to stop supporting I have had enough. time to invest my time and energy elsewhere.

Not sold on Shanto for Tests. I would rather try Saif Hassan. Shanto should be groomed for an LOI position. I think he can do well as an ODI #3 now that Shakib is gone.

Probable squad for Rawalpindi Test:

Tamim, Shadman, Momin, Shanto, Riyad, Mithun, Liton, Miraz, Taijul, Nayeem, AA, Fizz, Rahi, Ebadat, Taskin, Saif.

Since Mushfiq bailed out against Pak, hope his replacement (Shanto) will also get to play against Zim.

Is Mosaddek still injured?

He was not injured afaik. His mother was ill right before the India series. He should be an automatic selection over Mithun, Shanto.

We are lacking quality. Without skill development and instilling confidence we cannot expect big changes from what happened in India. No point touring unless BCB establishes proper planning to improve test performance. I would say take some recess like Zim and then do homework.

Looks like he may be seriously hurt. He was not listed in any of the BCL squads.

I hope thats an error, but given his history of missing Tests of a myriad reasons, I wouldnt be surprised.

As our coaches mentioned our batters are not committed now I am more confused who would be better; atleast little bit more committed and have some common sense to play test match. Good thing is that I see some players with test temperament in this selection now the question is who is better. The way mominul, mithun and liton bats,
I am not just sure if we should continue to give them chances. Bowling wise really disappointed with Fizz. Also having dilemma to select one spinner or no spinner but go with part time spin. If Fizz is not playing well, we can go with Ebadat, Rahi, AA/Taskin. AA bowled well but looked not to threating, I wonder how is the form for Taskin after Rehab.

Looks like Mosaddek is injured. Not playing in the BCL first round.

Always something witht his guy. Eye infection, then dropped prematurely, then mother's illness, and now an apparent injury.
