Most selfish batting from established cricketers?
I can't believe how Shakib and Tamim slowed down before their milestones.
Absolute rubbish. Even Anamul doesn't slow down so much and these are your Senior cricketers who have so many runs in the kitty

I would also like to add that we will win nonetheless. But these things make difference against better sides

Otherwise we would have to settle with 260/270.
Last 5 overs we have scored at 10 runs per over. Don't see the reason behind this whinning

They were brilliant when the milestone wasn't in the picture.
But let's be honest they slowed down a bit too much.
Lanka was inexperienced I had no doubt that bangladesh would easily score 300+
Remember we have batsman till no.9

Tamim did well to hold the innings together, he and sabbir gave us the foundation. Shakib scored run a ball ever since he came to the crease. By no means he was slow. At one point the spinners bowled well, but Tamim and Shakib didn't threw their wickets away.Overall, good finish by the batsmen.

What's wrong with you mate? Both of them scored together 60% of the teams run. Shakib even recovered his ST and Tamim wasn't far behind. Unbelievable thread when the score stands at 300+

Did they slow down a bit? Yea... But did they slow down to warrant a thread and get called selfish? Nope! Hope no one else jumps on this bandwagon

two arrows down... It was a good batting display... they should slow down when needed. Well paced.

U r a smart poster MHRAM. I m sure u know the importance of having two set batsman in the middle, especially in the back end of the innings.
Yes we bat down deep, but that doesn't mean they would've batted as fluently as shakib or Tamim. Besides this, we've a knack of losing wickets in cluster.
Tamim and shakib allowed the Lower order to play without any fear.

Shakib was very good. He didnt really slow down tbh. He was just not taking risks. I dont blame him. remember the 1st odi against england, after he got out, we lost a easy match cuz of collapse. He must have no confidence in the lower-middle order after that. Tamim however slowed down a bit too much. Good gritty innings still, but didnt really look fluent

Unwarranted thread but Tamim should have had a slightly better SR given that he has played almost the entire innings. Nowadays, it is almost the norm to have a SR near 100 for someone has batted a long time. His lack of fitness is the factor here. Missed on a few singles when batting with Musaddek. Yes, I also agree that against better teams in crunch matches this will matter. Other than that Tamim played a brilliant and a mature knock. Shakib was brilliant, too.
