Default Towhid Hridoy becomes first U19 batsman to score 3 centuries in a row

Why is there no thread on this? What is happening to this forum .

Hridoy has scores of 82*, 123*, 115 and 111 so far in the series against SL U19. First ever player with 3 consecutive hundreds at U19 level.

Is this our best U19 batch ever? Hridoy, Joy, Akbar, Shoriful, Mrittunjoy, Sakib are all killing it at this level. Will they manage to eke out decent careers at the senior level or will they eventually disappoint like countless others before them.

What a performance by Towhid Hridhoy! Most runs in a series by a Bangladeshi too!

Had the target been higher in the first odi maybe he could've had 4 in a row.

Good to see Mahmudul Hasan Joy on that list. He could've been the first to achive consecutive centuries twice had he not got out on 99.

Averages 50 after 40 matches and is about 300 runs behind shanto for most u19 youth odi runs for a BD player.

This might be the strongest U-19 batch ever. Will they have more success than Tamim, Shakib, Mushy in internationals? Time will tell. But this is an exciting batch for sure.

Btw, forum died a few years ago, lol.

Shanto averaged 37 in youth ODIs, the reason he scored so many runs is because he played close to 60 youth ODIs. Don’t get me wrong I think shanto did fine and he’s doing alright and is still a prospect but towhid at least so far has a better youth odi record at this point (actually think he’s had a sharp rise in form as I’m pretty sure 6 months ago he averaged about 40).

Hridoy's current average post 2018 U/19 WC is 60+

However, Joy fared better than him in away matches -

Towhid has a slightly better away average (51 vs 50). Joy has a slightly better strike rate (78 vs 77). They are neck and neck away from BD.
