Default Zidane given ban and fine by Fifa

Zinedine Zidane has been banned for three games and fined £3,260 for head-butting Italy's Marco Materazzi during the World Cup final. Following an investigation by world governing body Fifa, Materazzi was suspended for two games and fined £2,170 for provoking Zidane.
A Fifa statement said: "Both players stressed Materazzi's comments had been defamatory but not of a racist nature."
Zidane's ban is academic as he retired from football after the finals.
However the 34-year-old will instead work with football's world governing body Fifa for three days.
Fifa added: "Zinedine Zidane has agreed to do community service work with children and youngsters.
"During the course of their hearings both players also apologised to Fifa for their inappropriate behaviour and expressed their regret at the incident."

Finally this should be over. Babubhai's return is nearing.

Well he will.... but only after you get off from Zidane's back for good. I just had a thought-transference with him via telepathy.

Great Fazal!! Can you tell him (through your telepathy) that he has some nice private messages about France and Zidane from me. He can only see them after he logs in. Thanks in advance.

What happened to him? Has anyone even heard from him or does anyone know if he's actually safe and well?

Personally I think the outcome of that hearing is very just. Both players deserved to be reprimanded.

What's the point of banning already retired Zidane for three games? Like shooting a already dead tiger again.

Looks like after world cup, FIFA executives have nothing else to do... just another attempt to keep them busy.

ha ha doing a Zidane eh? why not Honda (from street fighter) cuz he is the best in that .

I remember using kof (sound effect of king of fighters ) language once to counter abuse, it would be really funny to see anyone else try this and name this counter after my name . No this is all stupid, patience is the right way, if only we could have more patience ...

EDIT : still Zidane did have patience for a long time, and matobastard did dry up his patience, man talk about some serious bosti language

Yeah, Materazzi is an a**h**e. Italy should have lost, especially since they destroyed my teams (Socceroos) hopes.

dont worry.. what goes around..comes around..
italy won the cup and then struck by the biggest scandal in thier football history.
top teams relegated to second division
player fm thier winning squad is banned and fined.
top players leaving Seria A for overseas leagues for the first time.
they broke the trophy..
he he..

see.thats why i say Brazil should hv won the cup, at least the trophy could go to some place where ppl knows how to treat it..
