We have lost hope in team and the board.
Seniors have already started retiring from formats. Mash has gone. Future players are terrible and the future looks bleak.

Even die hard fans have now decided not to invest their time and sleepless nights on this team anymore. The best of BD team came and went.

Also, fans get older with more responsibilities and less time.

I haven't read the article. Is Siddons going to be the batting coach for the tiger or the head coach for U19? If he's hired as a batting coach then it's good. I think as a head coach I expected more from him rather than shomman jonok porajoy like strategies.

IMO, Siddons should be given charge of our pipeline - watch the players during domestics, provide them advises whenever they struggle, make sure good pitches are being made for domestic matches, work with players during off season etc.

Domingo is doing a fine job with the national team. We made history under him by winning a Test match in NZ, which to me was unimaginable. Improvements of Liton, Momin, Shanto, etc under him is noticeable. The right approach should be to establish a pipeline that will provide him better groomed players for the national teams.

SA ODI series win is the result of fine works Domingo-Gibson-Prince had done.

I guess we will see the first glimpse of what benefits Siddons brings in the Test series, as he had opportunity to work with our Test specialists for last 10 days in Cape Town.

Has Siddons taken our batting unit 11 years back?!

In Mount Maunganui, a key reason we won was our batters trusted their defense. In Durban, we had done ok except for the last day.

In Gqeberha, looks like things Domingo worked on for last three years got undone. Domingo has been separated from the team as he contracted Covid-19. In his absence, our batters, especially Tamim and Mushfiq, seem to have gone back to their tendency of being over aggressive in Test cricket!

Tamim and Siddons is the perfect example how to ruin a talent with overcoaching. I don't think Tamim has made any significant match winning performance since he 'shifted gears' save but - I think! -Zimbabwe matches or something. On the other hand, in his heydeys when he was still very RAW he made blistering fiery start EVEN at Lord's and later the team capitalized on his foundation. (Mustafizur is another one who lost his natural touch by too many chiefs in the wigwam.)

Heh. He has shifted gears so much that let alone the car move, the dilapidated jalopy has collpased. Bangladesh team is the prime example on how to ruin natural talent with overcoaching and meaningless drivel and academic pilpul.

You have to give the boys carte blanche to play freely. Do your work, do all your statistical masturbation before the game... but during game time play freely your NATURAL game.

Ultimately sports is a primal matter -animalistic in nature- and you need to let your instinct take over instead of Ben Shapiro like anaylsis overcomplication. Technique also has its limits. Mindset is everything.

There was this "bengali bhodrolok" who GOT THIS. He was saying in the pre-match ceremony in the first T20: "Look. West Indies players don't bother with all these math equation. They come out to play. They wanna have a good time. Their main goal is to see the ball and send the ball over the boundary."

Something our players have lost it and lost the whole damn point of what a PLAY is all about. You f***kin play. You come here to entertain us. You take calculated risks. Life is one time. Stop playing just to be a mid-level team and "to get by".

Oh that Einstein Siddons also wanted us to "learn to win without scoring big". I swear. Look it up. There was a newspaper article on it. Mr. 240 redux.

However, I love the aspect of sending 'myriad' of bowlers and utilizing left-right combo by using 5 bowlers in first 10 overs and not letting them settled. But it could have backfired as bowlers didn't get into the rhythm.

Speaking of Tamim because of his changing gears he will now forever will be known as "What could have been". LMAO... let's face it. He will NEVER reach the rarefied airs of Babar Azam, Virat Kohli let alone Chris Gayle or ABD.

He will be a mid player. Perhaps one of greatest batsman of Bangladesh. But that's about it. Forgettable in world stage. Maybe he should have retained the 'ghaura' attitude instead of being so "humble" that he let opponents roll all over him.

Thank you for your service Tamim. Next.

(To be fair, Shakib will still retain the GOAT title of BD if not as one of the greatst all-rounders ever.)

Tamim has now become slowmim! There used to be a time when was the the atatcker in the opening pair and we changed his partner opener one after another to be not as aggressive as him ( Nazimuddin, Shamshur, zunaid etc. )

Tamim used to be on par with Sehwag and used to sledge Sehwag. I still remember how he said - India is an ordinary team.

Well, look at where India is now and where BD is now. Even Mohammad Shami can bat better than Slowmim these days!

I think Siddons is good. Much better than other recent coaches.
