I am surprised though a lesser known Jaker Ali has been preferred over Akbar Ali in both formats. Considering some of the match winning rapid scores Akbar made during DPL, he should have been included at least for list-A matches.

Can't fault the batters entirely, the pitch is poorly prepared. Some balls getting odd bounce, while others staying low. The ground itself looks in bad condition. There was couple of hours delay in the morning as run-up on one end looked unsafe for bowlers.

Because we're not finding anyone better.

Jaker Ali Anik is the sixth wicket of the day, scored only 3. Most of the batters were caught behind today, not being able to handle swing.

BD-A 136-6, after 43 overs bowled today (match had delayed start because of poor ground condition, namely one of the bowlers run-up). Mithun (42) and Nayeem Hasan (23) will resume batting tomorrow morning.

Disastrous start for the one-day series - 80 runs all out!

Sabbir celebrated his recall to the T20I team with 3 runs in 6 balls.

In the second one-day, Naim got his century, 103 in 117 balls. BD-A 233/5 (44.5 Overs). Sabbir batting at 38 (39).

BD-A 277/6 after 50 overs. The pitch is not really flat, think our bowlers will be able to defend it (in the last match, they took 6 wickets trying to defend 80 runs).

Sabbir scored 62 in 58 balls. He probably did enough to claim a spot in Asia Cup XI. However, he did miss out on short balls, during death overs, that were in slot for hook/pull. Hopefully Siddons will get to watch clips of Sabbir's batting today, and will come up with plans to help him.

I can see why Raja was in consideration for national team. He's bowling much better than Mughdho and Khaled today. Two wickets so far for him.

Good bowling effort from BD-A on the third one-day.

WI-A 238/9

Raja 4-50
MJoy 2-43

With Hasan Mahmud out with injury, I think MJoy done well to display his death over skills in this match and stake a claim for Asia Cup squad.

Raja has been impressive in the last two matches as well. But, since he bowls during middle overs, he's more likely to be considered a standby option.

The last match abandoned after 15.4 overs in BD-A innings, due to rain. Soumya had some batting practice, scored 30 runs in 42 balls.

FC series was 0-0 draw (those matches were curtailed as well because of rain), one-day series ended in 1-1 draw.

Find of the series: Mrittunjoy Chowdhury. I can see him joining the national team pacer pool in upcoming international series/tournaments in all three formats.

Saif's century in the last FC match prolly placed him ahead of Shadman as a backup option for the Test team. Naim's century in the last one-day keeps him in contention as a backup opener for LOI matches.
