Im not sure, i heard it from an indian cricket forum, Indian bookie offered $40 million US dollar, if bangladesh lose against Bermuda.
Also i saw some other forum, Indian fans are pretty sure, tomorrow match going to be fixed. They are like indian in super 8. hmm im really worried about it now...

I know it all... the cricket board of India are not trying to fix tomorrow match Bangladesh v Bermuda... they are trying something "bigger" than that!
They have offered to big man Leverock a huge prize if he will play a "Murali-like" innings and dismiss the whole of the BD batsmen!
If you don't believe me here is a picture that proves that Leverock agreed to the deal and got the prize:

ouch! Bangladesh have no chance of beating Bermuda!

Didn't read the details, did you? They had also offered the provinces of Assam and Meghalaya, western Kashmir and the China-occupied Himalayan region of Aksai Chin to sweeten the deal.

India has offered free of charge training to Bermuda team, the Indian team will join the Bermudans on the practice field, give them special training on batting and bowling. But Bermuda team rejected the offer knowing that how badly India lost to Bangladesh and doubted that all their assistance will be of any help against Bangladesh.

I think you're missing a few things too. Here is what they added:
1. Unlimited supply of Indian matha choto theng lomba shada ronger goru
2. Unlimited supply of water, through Farakka's fatol dhora bhuwa Birla cement diye banano dam
3. Unlimited gobor supply for rural Bangladesh, which can solve our shortage of gas supply in some rural parts of Bangladesh

It is most likely that they will think," how much i am going to earn for playing a lifetime? may be 1 crore, 2 crore or maximum 10 crore. But in the end when i will be out of form, they will throw me out of the team anyway. So, its better to take the 100 crore and live life happily ever after"
What do you think guys..?

If fans found out that those players threw away the Bermuda match, I am sure that some die-hard fans will try to assasinate those players, and can you blame them . SN would be sniped down, and Mashrafe's car would be exploded. (please don't take offence at this comment, it's only a joke)
Honestly, I don't think our players hearts are this tainted, hopefully they'll make us proud tomorrow and show the world what we're made off.

Can we be certain that there was no phonecalls, meetings, or attempts to tempt any of our players?
The bottom line is are we prepared to accept the reality if Bangladesh loses to
Bermuda and India goes through to Super 8, after all the rhetoric that we made against violent fans in India and Pakistan?
Can we remain cool headed and sane if we see before our own eyes the demise of Bangladesh in the hand of amateurs, who themselves admit Bangladesh is through?
May this never happen. Ameen.

I agree that there are numerous holes for misinterpretation in my original post and the thread title is somewhat misleading too. But discussions of match fixing rumors or accusing our players for possible involvement in match fixing were not the issues that I intended to raise in this thread.
This is a new kind of pressure, a new kind of threat for almost everyone involved in Bangladesh Cricket. And it requires guidance and awareness to deal with these pressures and threats.
Just look at all the photos and videos from Trinidad involving the fans and the players- you will know how easy it is reach our team and how intense is the extent of the threat. We need to recognize the existence of this threat and we need to examine and re-examine each other to protect ourselves from becoming a victim.
I hope our players and team management were well aware of the situation and stood hand-in-hand to safeguard each other and take us to a new level in World Cricket.
Thanks to my fellow BC members who stood tall to bridge the gaps in my original post.
Congratulations Tigers, you made us proud.
Let's start the Celebration.

Bummer. I'd take that. These cartaker government sucks. We need domocratically elected government who would have taken that offer and deposited Assam into Swiss bank.

I heard the team got calls from top of the government to make sure something like that doesn't happen. There was a lot of added pressure from that angle as well.

IMO, the need for this thread is over.
Whatever is the logic, this was an untimely thread for our Tigers.
IMO, This thread should be locked and kept in the archive.
