Would some statistic geek in here confirm that our ODI or indeed Test ranking today is the closest we have come to an established Test playing team ?
In tests, we are indeed far off and will remain so for sometime to come but I feel in ODIs , particularly against the bottom four, our regularity of wins will increase.
That is why I am slightly disappointed with the strike. I did believe we would have one and, who knows, two against the full team in ODIs.
These wickets are ideally suited for us and our spinners cannot so easily be taken on by anyone on a regular basis on them.
