Either way all 3 seem pretty ordinary with 0 wickets in the test so far.

The whole team is looking ordinary, they don't seem to be trying . No point blaming these 3 only

Pitch is even flatter than it was before.

Tamim, Shadman, and Mominul weren't in any sort of trouble. Shadman got a peach of a delivery (Boult and Southee didn't get much swing or seam after the first 5 overs), and the others threw their wickets away.

Mithun, Riyad, Soumya are not Test calibre batsman. Thats half the top order right there. Remember Mushy and Shakib alone scored nearly 400 runs in Wellington. If they even scored half that amount, Bangladesh gets to about 400 all out instead of 234. Bowlers look more lethal automatically. Even if NZ gets to 650 declared, BD would have been in a good position to draw the match (like 2017) barring an epic collapse.

The bowling is the problem not the batting. The opening partnership went over the entire first innings. What do you want the batsmen to do post 1000+??? 3 out of the 4 wickets are from secondary bowlers (soumya muhamadullah) and the last one from spinner mehedi. Even when Bangladesh toured New zealand last time they scored 500+ and still lost because bowlers could not bowl them out.

I get all that..but none of the 3 bowlers seem anything special. If the pitch is flat, try variation though reverse, yorker, fast bouncer.. lot of tactics world class bowlers do to get wickets. They couldn't even stem the flow of runs and were giving around 5 runs per over.

>>> Sums up my feeling.. The fact that the 3 current pace bowlers are so mediocre shows that something is wrong in our cricketing infrastructure. They look completely toothless bowling at gentle medium pace at 130s, with no variation, swing or an X factor.
