At the moment, there is not one fielder who really shines, Tamim is a bit lazy, but takes some good catches, Aftab was a good fielder, Alok was OK, Ashraful is good, Mash is a good outfielder, but their slip fielding is the worst and after so many years, I am amazed that the fielding and head coaches have not tried to rectify this. Their lack of fielding was really evident in WI series, also their running between wickets is atrocious. I dont understand why their coach dont drill it into their heads that good fielding, saving runs, taking catches win matches, e.g. The Kiwis are not that great but they are good at fielding, also the Lankans have really improved in their fielding.

I ve seen raqibul dropping a catch of gambhir in the 1st over of Ind-Bd T20 which a proper point fielder should have taken. Bd fielding in general is preety shoddy and there is a not a single one who can be ranked among the top fielders in the world. Tamim is good in taking catches but his ground fielding is not very good. Aftab and Alok were better than others I guess.

For a second I almost fell of my kedara. Thinking the former Khulna captain has joined barisal now. Would be nice to have a Jonty among ourselves.

Shakib gets my vote. Raqibul close second. These two's concentration level is out of the chart. Ash is good too. Aftab, Rajin are the other guys who were great. Outfield, Tamim and JO.

Good ground fielders standing in point or covers are : 1. Rajin 2 . Aftab 3. Alok 4 Raqib 5 Ash 6 Sakib
Good outfielder : 1 Tamim 2 Mash
Good slip fielder : zero
All the newer generation players are overall much better than the group from previous years. No doubt about that.
Awful fielders : 1. Raj 2. Shahadat 3 SN.

You become an expert only when you do it from the roof of your house. Not on the field.

There are few.. thanks to our Fielding coach Salahuddin/Trevor Chapell/Mike Young. The one that I have not seen dropping a catch or always threw the stamps is Aftab Ahmed. Alok Kapali was always sharp and probably still is. Mashrafee is also very sharp. If there was only a ICC ranking for fielding,,,, I bet Bangladeshis will be on the top. With the rare opportunities that we have,,, we do take the catches right ( Well, post 2003 World Cup, that is..)

Scratching my head.
Gibbs, De Villiers, Duminy, Prince, Van der Merwe, Smith, Rohit, Raina, UV, Nayar, Dilshan, Kapugedara, Chamara, Jayawardene, Ross Taylor, Collingwood, KP, Clarke hosts of others are equal if not better.

I would go with Tamim. I don't think I have ever seen the kid drop a catch.

Mushfik is the worst fielder in the bangladeshi team.
Shakib has improved lately in the field but before he used to drop alot of catches in the slip.
But right now, I think that TAmim showed brilliant capabilites on the field.

I have seen him drop a catch in the T20 against Australlia June 1st.: Trent Bridge, England... Mortaza's first over, fifth ball...and then they went on to score 220.
oh wait that was a warm up match!

I remember that the Zunaed made a couple of nice grabs in the slips. But he has also missed a few...
