Looks like these u-19 kids a fast learner.

They are learning the unwritten rules from the old boys faster than I thought.

If you score too many runs in domestic league, you will tagged as not good enough for international competition as domestic league is not good enough to judge the talent.

On the other hand if they score low in domestic league, then they will enhance their chance to be tagged as highly talented players who can perform in the international level but doesn't need to perform in useless low quality domestic league.

Did not want to agree but alas ! I do not have any other choices left for this. So agreeing with you 1000%

So the question would be

How to change this?

Where to start?

We need to change our CLUB Culture for making Domestic league a success.

Our club officials are holding too much power and sometimes showing highly motivated incompetence and emotions which destroying our leagues.

And BCCB has to come forward to provide players with up to the marks fields, pitches and facilities.

Well I heard Biman officials didn't want to play in Commilla and weren't happy with the fact that they still haven't played a game in Dhanmondi stadium. They were happy to share a point with Sonargaon cricketers by claiming that the field is not suitable for the game. Later on, when they started the game the next day, the biman officials were actually sorry for their decision as they wasted a day in commilla for nothing and could have played the game a day earlier.

What a story. Tells us how our clubofficial thinks .

Look how much Victoria scored at Comilla 277/6 ,its not the pitch its something else.

Now may be OFFICIALS will complain against BKSP PITCH # 1 where we saw couple of low scoring matches.

It's a never ending story which disturbing our cricketing culture a lot.

6 round of play has been played and unfortunately we have not seen any good cricket yet.Very under par performances from our cricketers .Only 1 century (I guess) and couple of 50 does not do justice to our betters and bowlers !! Can not yet remember any players who is rising ..

They are fast learners alright - flopping the same way their seniors are at the domestic level.

well we never learn either do we? too much expectations in too short a time. Let them fail and learn. I wud hate to see these kids get into the national team right away for gods sake.

let them play, get beaten and then learn how to rise. All of them have potentials, infact we have TOO MUCH potential. Abt time some got channelled for some good to of our cricket.

These kids need atleast two three years of domestic cricket. Doesn't matter what the quality of our league is but experience matters. Scoring run consistently can never hurt and I hope our young boys would start doing that.

agreed.

even if they dominate from the start, i think they should stick around for at least 2 years. then a few A team tours, b4 the national team. this will give them the proper gradual grooming our present national team have lacked.

yeah a kid can be talented but unless he is experienced, he wouldn't know how to bat when his side is 10/4. Domestic cricket and some A tours can help him out with experience and give him enough confidence to come to the national side and perform consistently.

Sadi,

I think we should make this a permanent thread to keep info on our u19 kids.

Unless the big bosses rush them we can keep an eye on U19 developments for the next couple of years in this thread.

You could edit the first post's title to "Keeping an eye on our under 19 players" or something like that. It'll give it a universal name rather that just an association with the premier league.
