Pathetically pathetic, gave an application to ICC for considering to scrap Bangladesh test status.

Not only talent, but combine that with the attitude/mentality they play with, god.

Very good team. We just don't have players with talent that also have maturity/fighting spirit.

we definately need different set of players fir different format, with old school boys nothing will change. looking at rahim and shakib how they played that’s tell you a lot that these guys never learn or will change. no maturity, no sensibility just predetermined shots.

Even if we don't accept, it won't change the reality.

We have been playing T20 since the time of Shariar Mofeez. During that era our capability was scoring 120. And in 2019, our capability is 120. But the newest team can bully us day in day out and can score 170+ easily. We do not even have the gut to choose batting after winning the toss.

Have we improved? 120 -120 = 0. Our BPL is nothing but shameless display of batting by foreign batters.

Honestly may not be a popular opinion but your board is treating your players pretty disgracefully.

You had 2-3 months of nonstop WC prep, then a six week long world cup. About a week/week and a half later you were jetted to SL for an absolutely worthless series then almost immediately after that a Test match and now a t20 tri series.

Mental health is a big part of sport. Your players have been significantly overworked in my opinion and while it doesnt absolve them of blame, its a factor.

They should've had a minimum of 3 weeks off after spending over two months abroad in a hyper competitive environment. Instead they were barely home before flying off again and playing several series in a row. Awful player management.

Shouldnt be a surprise some of your all format players look so jaded. Who wouldnt be with all this cricket. Had barely two weeks off between the world cup and the SL series. A joke.

Bangladesh plays far fewer matches than other similarly ranked teams like Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Even Zimbabwe plays more ODIs than us.

^^ Donal, core players from Aus, Eng, India have not really been sitting idle during this period. Shakib was given a break from SL series.

But I agree with you that BCB need to have a player rotation policy, and have different players for different formats.

And yeah, that SL series in the hottest part of summer, right after WC, was totally counter productive for us.

Eng played a test right after winning the WC.

If you want to find excuse, you can find excuse. The reality is we have shi**y players.

I have been saying this all along. Afghanistan has improved quiet rapidly. Soon they will be starting beating us in ODIs.

If Cricket was about physical power, Nigeria would be playing at top level by now. It's the competitive nature of Afghans that helped them rise so fast.

You know you're doing badly when a Taliban-ravaged team are taking you apart in multiple formats in your home 20 years after you played your first game.

Better than us in two of the three formats of the game. So, I would say yes, it's a fair assessment that Afg is now the better cricket team.

Bd team is a just money making venture filled with mediocre players hero worshiped by complacent fans, and also League MP base camp for these "heroes" to pivot to politics in the future.

Our standard is very low. A call from the PM after an innings against Zim says how easily we get satisfied and label them as hero. We need to stop idolizing them. After 20 years of International cricket, with so much cash flow, enjoying so much facilities we are losing to a team who cant even play at home. Yes the afgans are talented. And we suck.

I am feeling bad for the Afghans actually. If they had our facilities and exposure, they would have been in a different level by now

Afgans exposure and facilities are quite good. They have come up playing well organized cricket via world cricket league and intercontinental cup. BD was promoted in a far less organized era for ICC.

They trained in UAE and Indian facilities. Again, far better than ours. We only have facilities in Mirpur to be honest. And our cricketing infrastructure even in major cities like Khulna amd Sylhet are pretty pathetic.
