Nope.
This is administered by boards from India, Australia and South Africa, while WI and Eng also participate. Modi is the chair.
Would be difficult to get accepted into the league with franchises from Bangladesh. Maybe I am being too pessimistic.

Names
Here's my suggestions of names:
Dhaka Dalals
Chittagong Choruis
Sylhet Shutkis
Khulna Khalas
Barisal Buras
Rajshahi Rajbiharis
On a more serious attempt:
Jalalabad Saints (Sylhet- Home of 360 Saints)
Rajshahi Rajbiharis (Rajshahi being home of mangoes;Rajbiharis are prob mangoes)
Chiitagong Cyclones (I like it)
Khulna Tigers (home of the Bengal tigers)
Barisal Bauls
Dhaka Sepahis
I think both those sets of names are way more creative and less lame than IPL franchises

The prize money will be US$100,000 for the champions while the runners-up team will receive US$50,000 and there will also be other lucrative prizes," said Rubaba adding that they will take all steps to make the tournament a grand success.

Where's all this money going to come from? That's a lot in prize-money for what is likely to be an unprofessional setup in the first year. Surely, if NCL got this kind of prize-money we'd be discovering Laras and Inzamams by now...our players would have divorced their wives, ran away from their homes and practice 24/7. You would see Aftab dieing of a heart-attack for practicing too long in the nets...

Very good initiative from BCB. Hope the tournament is successful and attract the crowd attention.
Timing is very good also. Right before the T20 WC.
We should target Pakistan and go through the next round. Inshallah we can achieve that.

As BCB says, the players should be evenly distributed in the teams, where some teams have weaker players than the rest. This will provide more of a competition, we dont want one team walking over the other one.

I hope they also have a franchise system for the NCL 4 day league. That should take care of the 'picnic league' or formality mentality for the 4 day league. Becaue then these private owners will hold the players responsible for their performances (i.e. if they don't perform, they won't get picked up next season).

But ATN records is the management agent for BCB. They are doing this franchise selling thing.
So far good job by Mr. Nammu.

This is good. I am impressed that the BCB managed to attract bids from corporations like Beximco and IFIC. I hope they get rid of that joke PCL and also the Dhaka T20. And instead we have an expanded NCL T20. But I would prefer if the teams were based on districts instead of divisions. As pointed out by many Barisal hardly has any cricketers of their own.
And hopefully the corporations will dish out a few bucks on their teams' uniforms, logos etc. because image plays a big part on the success of these tournaments.
