In tests, hopefully we won't see Shabbir and Sarker in the side. In fact, I don't want to see Sarker in any format. He had his chance. Shabbir is still a wonderful limited overs player, but should bat lower down. Shakib is a great choice as captain. Unarguably the best player in tests. Riyad test stats are left to be desired, so I'm surprised he is the vice-captain. He needs to score 100s now. Tamim not as captain is a wise choice. He bats at the top order, and he knows he's the best bat for the team in tests, so he doesn't really need that pressure over his shoulders.

Liton is a good keeper. Ppl must be fickle judging a keepers performance purely on BPL. With the variable bounce on the pitch and the poor maintenance of the pitch ofc the keepers may struggle.

Can he be sacked from the team too, not just as a captain? Thank you.

Variable bounce will be very much part of our Test pitches. If Liton can't adapt to it, he is not a good option for home Test matches.

This just shows that honest and hard working players aren't welcomed in Bangladesh team. Most of them don't get their due respect and get discarded for silly reasons. Currently players who can grovel at the feet of bcb chairman r the ones who r getting all the recognition. Such a sad state of affairs.
No wonder, a respectable international coach like Hatu didn't want to work with these clowns.
What I don't understand is how can a egotistical player who has just chickened out from an important away tour, who doesn't have any interest in playing test cricket, who plays countless number of useless t20 leagues throughout the year, who points towards his groin in front of the camera can be made the captain of a national team?

Your trolling standards are going down, before you used to pass as a bangladesh fan. But now its just getting sad. We want to old eclipse back.

If you had thought the circus ended with Mushfiq - Shakib showed today he is equally good at making blunders. He chose to bowl first on a flat Mirpur wicket!

May be.
But to his defense he saw what Gayle did to Riyad in chasing. Then in Qualifiers they got him cheap in batting first. You can't wrong him here. Shakib just dropped him at 22. I'd be very afarid in letting him chase what ever total Dhaka would have put up.

^^ You can't let fear of Gayle dictate a whole match. And yes, the trick is to get him early. Once Shakib dropped that catch, the match was out of his hand.

Bhai saab, if you are expecting better Test captaincy in the near future than what we have seen the past couple years, you are going to be left disappointed.
Have no expectations and just enjoy the ride.

Besides the toss, he chose Khaled the rookie (I would have raised the hell with Sujon for this insane selection to begin with) on a crucial stage of the match, when he himself had an extra over at hand!
