Forecast does not look good. High chance of rain all throughout the day.

Dhurr. Why can't our games against England, Australia and India wash out instead.

Only bat first can save BD tomorrow
230 is a per score in that stadium. Source cricbuzz
And 2nd innings it help spinners blindly
BD have to win the toss tomorrow and target 250 - 260
And might win by 100 runs to help net rates which we need badly after this match
But first thing first , win it.

Naib's press conference was pretty funny.

Basically said they are drowning so they might as well drown us with them haha

BD and Pak beware, they mean business for their last hurrah

A Mirpur like pitch and the weakest batting line-up in the tournament, if Fizz can't prove himself useful here then I don't know what to say. Mash shouldn't have an excuse to do poorly here either

England can win at most 1 game out of the next 3, for us or Pakistan to qualify assuming either teams win the remaining 3.

Pakistan's path is easier with them having to beat NZ and for us India. SL is in a slightly better position..

Otherwise we can win 2/3 of our next games and pray England loses all of their next 3 encounters (Aus, NZ and India)

Today is a must-win not just for the sake staying relevant in terms of qualification but also to have bragging rights over Afghanistan.

Nabi said they are favourites today. He said the same thing last World Cup

Par score would be 230 here, we should bat first and put up a big total of around 250-270.

I agree. For once Tamim's strike rate wont be a problem. He needs to play through the innings

He is a lefty. If he can survive long enough to face Rashid. Then it will be good for the team.

Afghanistan team trains in India. Both Afghans and Bangladeshis are friends for Indians. Most Indians will stay neutral. Bangladesh have played consistently well, Afghan team came close to beating India. Pakistan will support Afghans to knockout Bangladesh from the tournament.

India did not have the benefit of knowing how the pitch will play when they went on to bat first. Now that we know this is not a 300+ pitch we can be a little strategic about how we negotiate Mujib and Rashid. The template is to look at how Kohli batted. We need to play as straight as possible and if we are in trouble reading from the hand then best to sweep on length. I think we should play Mithun in this game instead of Sabbir as he is a good player of spin. Mushfiq is the key wicket for Bangladesh on this track.

SS will be walking wicket here.. since he find it hard to play spin.. most players will perish.

This year, every team has been provided two to three games ideal to their home conditions. So, no team can complain

Not so long ago AFGA pummeled us on a similar pitch

Rashid's figure was 9-3-13-2
