Match abandoned due to rain and we top the group on the basis of a better NRR. We now have a very realistic chance of making it to the final as we play South Africa in the Quarter Finals and avoid India in the Semis. Fingers crossed!

How is South Africa as a team? Out batting got exposed today. I am not sure how far we can go to be honest

They got an absolute hammering from Afghanistan but can never underestimate the hosts. Battle of the chokers! May be the least chokers win

Had to be the rain and pitch. ZIM was blasting the Pak attack all over the place. This was a one off for sure.

Great outing. The bad one out of the way. Now we can start showing our stripes.

If we get past SA, we will meet winner of Ind-Aus in the semi.

I will be pretty happy if we get to semi, which never happened for us outside Bangladesh.

Seems to be a good scape looking at the pitty scorecard. I still cant justify how our captain said that going to final when nobody else said that in media. These kids seem to be have right mindset but talking to media need lots of improvement.

So if and it's a big if, we get past SA we will get knocked out by India in the semis. I would've preferred Afg in the quarters and Windies in the semis, that would've been an easier route. We could've done with losing our last game.

Afg destroyed RSA, and WI destroyed both Aus and Eng. So, no Afg and WI wouldn't be easier route.

Same. This team would have met expectations by making it to the semifinals. I think its possible. SA aren't that great a side, having recently lost to Zimbabwe and Afghanistan.

We should pack our squad with spinners for the SA game. Just Shorif and Tanzim as the lone quicks.

Our QF against SA is scheduled on Thursday, at Potchefstroom: https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/...ld-cup-2019-20

No rain in forecast, but it's expected to be a cloudy day. Hope our swing bowlers will come good.

MJoy got injured, Ruyel Miah has been called up as his cover.

Ruyel came in limelight couple of months ago by taking 13 wickets in an NCL match.

Forget about Ruyel Miah.

All of a sudden Sylhet has taken over from Khulna as the fast bowler factory for BD.

Is that certain? I was under the impression that it would be the winner of WI/NZ game. I may be wrong though.

^I guess it all depends on when they want to choke and when they decide not to

Emon looks pretty compact in terms of technique.

Granted there is no swing or seam unlike the India-Australia game.

Slowish start, but the batsman look fairly solid. Keep a good platform and we can get to 225 which sould be enough with our 3 spinners.

48-0 after 10. Both openers looking solid.

122-2 after 26.1

275+ looking on the cards. Hopefully more because Akbar is a big hitter down at #6.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim on 76* off 81. Needs to get a 100.
