Default Suggestions for Bangladesh's series v Australia

1) Use the allrounders properly. Naeem Islam, with bat, and Mahmudullah Riyad, with ball, have a lot more to offer than they are at present. If the specialist batsmen continues to misfire I reckon Naeem should be pushed a couple of slots up, because he has quite a bit of ability with the bat. And Mahmudullah, though a decent middle-order batsman, also can offer more with the ball, he hardly gets a bowl and especially considering he's a right-arm spinner compared to your army of lefties, he really is underbowled

2) Convert your starts. The Bangladeshi batsmen, especially Kayes and Tamim, have begun to convert their starts, but players like Siddique and Raqibul Hasan often score a promising 20-30 only to get out at crucial junctures.

3) Plan the bowling smartly. Generally Bangladesh's bowlers, particularly the spinners, are pretty decent, but for occasions when the opposition is looking to swing at everything you need variety. Give Rubel Hossain more overs; he hardly ever gets to bowl his full quota but easily looks the best of the seamers in the side (Shafiul Islam is a little inconsistent). Plus Rubel can I believe reverse the ball, so give him a spell near the end of the innings, while Mortaza and Shafiul Islam can bowl more with the new ball.

Brother what's the use of giving us the suggestions here, none of us has the power to do anything, it's our cricketers who will have to do it in the field and I can guarantee you that they are not here reading this website. BCB members are enjoying their money and so is Jamie siddons and our players, they don't give a crap about improving as long as they get paid 10 lakh taka and a mercedes every time they beat a team like NZ

Naeem Islam and Zunaed Siddique have been dropped FYI. But useful suggestions nonetheless. Especially the third point. Shakib needs to trust his pacers more. I'd go in with all three.

Honestly, our no. 3, 4 has never been used well enough. We need to look into it.

I think Bangladesh need a better preparation in facing the left handed bowlers such as Mitchell Johnson before this series. BD batsmen’s incapability, in facing the line a left hand bowler maintains, was embarrassingly exposed during the SA game. I know SA also played a real trick on us by not saying that they would rest Styen and Morkel. So our support staffs were so busy trying to figure out how to handle the pace and bounce of those two bowlers that they forgot the challenge Tsotsobe would impose (if included). And we all know what he had done………
Since there are no left handed fast bowler in our squad, I don’t think Bangladeshi batsmen get to practice enough against them or are even challenged enough in the domestic circuit which makes them really vulnerable in the match. So I say, get a couple of left handed pace bowlers from our domestic circuit and ask them to bowl in the nets. I know none of them will be fast enough but at least the batsmen would be somewhat comfortable with the line.

a team should never be bundled out for 58 or 78. there is no excuse. not even if u field eleven Ashraful's.

and not doing homework on tsotsobe was also a veyr poor homework. since when does game planning rely on what the opposition tells you. we can't expect SA to tell us their XI.

Not defending why they bundled out for 78 against SA but rather the way our lefties were batting against Tsotsobe. It was just embarrassig to see that they had no knowledge where their offstump was against Tsotsobe. We cann't tell for sure whether or not they did any homework against him but their batting definitely suggested otherwise.
And what's worse is that Tsotsobe played in Dhaka for SA-A not too long ago.....did any body from our support staff watch those games? I think it's imperative for any member of the national team to constantly watch cricket.....at all level and all format. But it seems our players are eager to watch hindi movie instead of watching WI play against Eng once Gayle was out.....what a shame.
