I am happy with his performance today. He did a decent job in BPL, and now in this match. He should continue playing T20. However, it doesn't mean we can drag him in to our ODI or Test team, spare him, and spare us (to the selectors).

I hope he concentrates on the T20 format more (perhaps 'only'), and become one of our flag barrier in his most suitable format.

plz, stop all the Ash discussion, and dont compare him with shakib

Shakib at least brought the team to a good position plenty of times. ash has taken the team from good position to bad position countless number of times

^ Is it odd that I have started reading everything Ash says in interviews and reports in his own voice? Anyway, I like the fact that Pybus learned a bit about Ash before meeting him. Ash again proves that he is the ultimate statistician, indicating that he is aware of his SR and his average!

Do you mean he goes and reads his Cricinfo stats every time they are updated?

I question his photographic memory because he seems to forget that he always gets out to playing loose/false shots and that to score big he needs to bat sensibly.

no trolling

The point to be made was that Ash comes at a time when after a good start a wicket falls. Now he can prevent further collapse becoz he mostly bats at a very important position. As he gives his wicket away, he helps the team get into some trouble. His inability to give stability to the team has done no justice to the team

Any one at the top giving away his wicket, "helps the team get into some trouble". Not alone Ash. He alone is not responsible to give stability to the team, it's all the top orders... He doesn't have the capacity to provide that alone .. So please lower your expectation.

No it gets updated while he bats and that's why you see him playing those silly shots. cause at that time his brain was buffering from all the F5 press...

Ok there is a story, or perhaps a similiar one and im saying this to you just in case you dont know. There was a land where on one day the king asked all the citizens in his kingdom to give some of the milk produced from their farms, for meeting the demands in the palace...or something similar. They were asked to pour the milk into a well.

There was no-one to look at what is being poured, so some citizens felt: "Oh come on, if I dont give away my milk then it will be of no problem, no one wil know. Ill pour water instead" Co-incidentally every village had the same thought process and they did as they felt. And the next day, when the milk was collected from the well, they found that that was hardly any milk...all water.

So the point is, even if we shouldnt put the entire blame on Ash, but he needs to step up and take responsibility. Does he? Well he doesnt and he leaves the others to do the job. Basically, he deserves to be blame a lot because he bats at a position where brain-farting is unacceptable...and when some1 does brainfart, the team enters a difficult situation

We will never get rid of Ashraful and we'll be having the same discussion 5-7 years later. The purpose of this thread is to challenge Shakib's thread on the basis of post count.

[EDIT] and also challenge Tamim's thread as he too is fast approaching Ashraful

Ya I heard it some 20 or more years back.

You need to tell it to all grambashi, telling it to one grambashi doesn't solve the problem.

You mean others are sympathetic farters !! Come on, don't blame others for your farts...

^That's my "I-knew-it-I-knew-it-I-knew-it" when the batter inevitably succumbs to his issues and throws his wicket away.

Guys, Ashraful plays 2 Eid innings a year. We got one already. Another one is yet to come So, let him play for 20 odd more innings this year. 1 will be worth remembering. And...then play him in all the matches next year too because we know he is gonna play 2 Eid innings right?
