Or alternatively if BD prefers quick execution and make the process of defeat as painless as possible, they may do T20I practice (and also have additional holiday tomorrow)

200-250+ run loss looking very likely now. This will be a huge embarrassment for Bangladesh in cricket (more so than the Gillespie 201 not out), and a memorable game for Afghanistan.

I see this downward spiral continuing well into the 2020 World T20. ODI white wash to Sri Lanka. Now a massive test loss against Afghanistan.

^ one of those was against a severely weakened Zimbabwe team hit by a massive cricket crisis triggered by the country's politics.

The other win was against a weak West Indies A team. In reality we didn't deserve to win either of those games.

Gordon Greenidge opposed Bangladesh's bid for test status, and was sacked for it in 1999. 20 years on, Bangladesh has yet to prove that they truly deserve it.

Yes. They entered using politics and yet to prove they belong in test level.

One of his points was BD needs a strong first class system in place to do well in this format. 20 years later, we still have a very poor domestic setup-as described by many as picnic cricket.

Said before the match started, I'm rooting for Afg. Still rooting for them.

A team that does not make a move as simple as removing the gloves of one charlatan year and year, have some very bad karma coming their way. This is really satisfying.

Come on Afghanistan cricket, you smoked em good, now throw the cigarette butt to the curb, and stomp it out.

Riyad also needs a genuine break from the game like Tamim. Not that long ago, don't forget he got a Test hundred against New Zealand in New Zealand. He needs that operation for the next 6 months, staying in the team like this and not performing neither here nor there and not performing....he is hurting himself and his reputation.

Riyad knows how to oil Sujon-Bashar-Nannu, he doesn't need to perform to survive. He's no Tamim, he will continue to make the team miserable as long he can.

Wouldn't it be embarrassing if 2.5 sessions were rained out and then Afg got the final 4 wickets in 15 minutes?

We need some humiliation to shake up the guys & BCB but I'm sure we don't afford this one, it will be too costly. This loss will haunt us for decades. This is the first encounter in test cricket & we have 20 years of experience, they have 1. It's their 3rd match only .... I know you are angry with the team, me too. But it's we who will pay the price of this humiliation, not them.

To be honest, with some of the delusions our fans have about this team it is deserved

It’s a shame that rain is preventing Shakib and Soumya to chase this down easily. Oh well I suppose we’ll have to settle for a draw. Lucky Afghanistan!
