Our first warm-up match starts tomorrow morning at 8am GMT, thats 3 am EST and 2 am CST. Its live on CricInfo, so if any of plan to follow the game, log on to Chat. I'll be there atleast for the first hour or so. Hope to see some of you there.

Will Bangladeshi players play under lights in any of the warm up matches? Because the first match of Bangladesh against Canada is a day night game, so ...

There probably will be some rain around as the weather forecast says 40% chance of rain and the sign says (yahoo) scattered thunderstorms for the whole week.

Rain has stopped again.

I have never heard it before to lit fire on center of pitch to dry the pitch after rain.

Gautang were 58/8 in 20 overs against Namibia. There is only G Smith in Gautang lineup who has some international experience.

KZN won the toss. May be they will decide to bowl first.

In that case, the match will be over in no time - may be Bangladesh will get bowled out for 120 odd runs - just like Gauteng in today's match.

Is Monju tired or something? His first 4 overs has cost him a lot of runs - he is giving away more than 4 runs an over, on the other hand, Mashrafee's Econ in first 4 overs is 2.25.

In fact, I thought that it would be the other way around, since this is Mashrafee's first tour in South Africa.

Monju alone didn't bowl poorly. Rafique and Sujon are also bowling the same way - giving away boundaries in each and every over.

And suddenly, Bangladesh has found itself playing against a tougher opposition - after Namibia.

KZN are now 68/1 in 15 overs, with 83 match experienced DJ Watson scoring at nearly 75% strike rate. All on a sudden, Bangladesh has started to play like they do against other test teams in an ODI.

There is a reality check - once Monju was being expensive, Sujon came into bowl in his place, and (now Seejan has started bowling - you'd remember that he wasn't given the ball in the entire one day series vs Namibia) Rafique replaced Mashrafee after he bowled only 5 overs.

That is, both Sujon and Rafique came into bowl inside the first 15 overs. Sujon bowled 3 overs and Rafique bowled 2 overs in the first 15 overs.

And the 16th over is now being bowled by Seejan.

Wait a minute. This is a 35 over game, right? So may be the bowler's restrictions (on bowling overs) is maybe upto 7th or 8th?

Well in that case, it was OK to give both Monju and Mashrafe a break after the initial 5 over spell from both of them.
