Default Result of 1st Warm Up by every team

South Africa - lost to Western Province - courtesy of Neil Johnson

Kenya - rained off; but restricted Border to 194/8 in 50 overs and thus everyone saying that they would have won it had not the rain came along

Namibia - won their match against Gauteng by 6 wickets - comprehensive victory

West Indies - beat Free State by 41 runs - courtesy of Chanderpaul 97 and other batsman scoring runs - including Lara and Gayle

Bangladesh - beaten by Kwa-Zulu-Natal - Bangladesh being a team that will never win

So what are Bangladesh and South Africa's chances?

Default Match report: BD vs KZN 1st Warm Up

Cricket-World-Bangladesh slump to defeat in warm-up match

LADYSMITH, South Africa, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Bangladesh paid the price for over-ambitious strokeplay in a World Cup warm-up match on Monday, losing to KwaZulu Natal by 38 runs at Settlers Park.
In a game reduced to 35 overs a side after the start was delayed by three and a half hours because of early morning rain, Bangladesh were bowled out for 153 in 28.2 overs, Al-Sahariar top-scoring with 45.

KwaZulu Natal earlier rattled up 191 for six with Doug Watson hitting 50, Hashim Amla 48 and South Africa A player Gulam Bodi a 20-ball 39.

"We were in a good position early on in the run-chase but lost wickets too quickly by trying to hit too many big shots," said Bangladesh captain Khaled Mashud.

Bangladesh, who are in Group B with South Africa, West Indies, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Canada, begin their campaign against Canada in Durban on February 11.

The Bangladeshis beat Pakistan at their first World Cup in England four years ago.

Default Netherlands - the ICC champions

Netherlands, the ICC champions were all out for 130 in 45.4 overs against Western Province that had beaten South Africa in the 1st warm up match.

Western Province scored 133 without losing any wicket in 25.3 overs.

Thus, Western Province beat Netherlands - the team that we have beaten in a practice match before the ICC Champion's trophy only about 6 months ago - by 10 wickets.

Default England XI won by 5 wickets

England XI has won their 1st warm up against Eastern Province by 5 wickets scoring 177/5 in 40 overs.

Eastern Province have managed to score 173 runs for the loss of 9 wickets - whereas I have seen the last wicket - the 9th wicket of Eastern Province falling at the score of may be around 120 - 130.

Default Ind vs KZN No result match

Rain and bad light had forced the India vs Kwa-Zulu-Natal match to be abandoned.

Before rain, India had given a target of 265/7 in 50 overs to KZN and KZN managed to score 69/2 in 18 overs with H Amla and A Amla at the crease unbeaten.

Default Northerns won by 217 runs vs Canada

Northerns have won the first warm up match of Canada by a huge margin, but not before Canada showed some fighting spirit.

Canada scored 148 runs in 39.4 overs before being bowled out.

Two Northerns batsman (Jaarsveld and another batsman) scored centuries.

Default NZ won even after scoring only 208

New Zealand have won their 1st warm up match against Easterns by 78 runs, even though they scored only 208 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs.

Gauteng were all out for 130.

A hint for BBC fantasy cricket players in this board: Jacob Oram took 5 wickets for 35 runs for New Zealand.
