Default records

you have to agree 177 in a one day match is really good for a batsman who is more comfortable scoring ducks.

have a question on records, were any records set by rokon's innings? the fact that this is not an official one day match has me question the reporter's claim of records here. was this a first class match?

As far I know, first class matches are only those where each team plays two innings each.

Default First class match

Both teams have to be either FIRST CLASS or NATIONAL teams (not A team , not a selection team either).
We are a test team but we played as Bangladeshis (as a selection team). On top of that, Namibia does not even have ONE DAY team classification.
The only way Namibia could play first class matches is if ICC approves it and we play as the National team.

UNfortunately, you can never rely on our local reporters on such areas and you would be better off asking a regular fan like us or checking sites like cricinfo.

Default first class and list a

i was looking at crickinfo stats for first class matches played in bangladesh. in the most recent season (1 years ago) that they had stats for, bd 'A' vs pakistanis is listed as a first class match. see below:

http://www-usa5.cricket.org/link_to_...N/2001-02.html

also, is h-fan saying the namibia series were list A games, if so then crickinfo should add it to our player stats. don't see any updates eg in rokon's individual stats.

the following is part of the definition of list A from crickinfo, not clear if these are even list A matches as namibia is not a test team, not a one day odi team but they do play in South Africa's first class league?

from crickinfo, List A:

There are a few matches that needed to be considered on their own merits, but as a general guide:

Matches that qualify for the list:

One Day Internationals

Other International matches (eg Commonwealth Games, 'A' team Internationals)

Premier limited overs tournaments in each country

Official tourist matches against the main First-class teams (including Board XIs and the like)

Matches which do not qualify for the list:

World Cup warm-up matches

Tourist matches against First-class sides not part of the main domestic competition (eg Universities, Minor Counties)

Festival and pre season friendly matches
