Cook better.
Spike his drink.
Introduce him to Cricket.

If nothing else works, wreck his pc and buy libido enhancing drugs.

Jokes aside, he has been a better poster lately and hasn't been inundating the forums with research papers and posts of encyclopedic proportions. The only antidote to his addiction is his will-power to overcome it. You could catalyze the process with inspiration and encouragement. We have no intention to steal your hubby.

We promise.

I'm sure there is a twelve-step program for net junkies. There's one for almost all addictions these days. As far as an affinity to BC goes, if this is the biggest problem your shad jamai exhibits: thank your favorite higher power...

Lima you crazy girl. You finally joined the forum. Well, at least you know where to find me.

From the english parts I get the jist of what is going on here. I want a Vladimir Junior. But I've poisoned her with my Westernized thinking. I introduced her to University. Helped her take a few courses. Now she wants to earn her own money, and get a Bachelor Degree. That's going to be 5 or 6 more years.

Sheesh!!! I'll be dead by than. But I love my baby girl, I want her to be happy.

I'll stop being a Net Junkie baby. I always have it on for answers.com, but I'll go to a traditional Electronic Dictionary. Don't worry.

You are so cute. It's like the wives who come to my bar and yell and scream and ask us not to serve their customers. lol.

They go to the source of the problem.

Hey maybe a FC Anonymous?

Ok, now that I got one more post out of the way, I publicly promise here not to go on any forums and spend the little bit of time I have in between my studies with you. Members here will help me by not responding to my posts!

I love you baby girl.

(hey what did she say anyway? Anyone care to translate?)

Ok VM, I've tried to translate her post as accurately I could:

Title- "My white husband"

"My husband cannot live without banglacricket eventhough he promised many times that he'll not come here.

He leaves his studies to come here and change the world. He spends a lot of time in this forum but never spend as much as time with me. Instead of doing his studies, he stays here.

The biggest and (?!..she missed out something here), his studies are very badly affected because of this.

What am I to going to do, what do you guys say?"

Very sensible post from Cats_eye.

Given the length of shada babu's posts, I don't think dui ghonta is sufficient to compose a single one. Or.. is that the whole idea.

Vlad's alright. I don't know of too many shada jamais who make such an effort to know his wife's culture to the extent that he can debate about them like a khati bangali.

I do agree, the best fix would be a Vlad jr. Worked for me

This tells me তোমার এখনো কোনো jr হয় নাই!Trust me - NOT changing diapers is not an option unless you are seriously olfactory or aurally challenged.

one thing you could try to seduce him away from the comp is to do your best jenna jamison impression for the next week.

this is the perfect plot for a sensational bangla movie!!!!! White guy falls in love with a desi girl and marries her. As he is introduced to a her culture he is fasinated by it. He gets engrossed with bangladeshi culture as he comes across banglacricket forum. He starts to ignore her wife... The wife tries everything possible to get him back but he cannot forget about banglacricket... Then in an unexpected twist of event, the wife shows up at BC forum. She tries to persuade the members to ignore her husband and even offers the member money to win back her husband. Finally the wife surprise shadamamu with the news of vlad.jr. Shadamamu realizes how much her wife loves him and goes back to her and promises that he will never come back to Banglacricket... Can he keeps his promise, is he capable of forgeting banglacricket. ... I guess we will find out soon enough!!!!

why the dissappointment? it was funny.

of course, my views on what constitutes good humor is considered extremely offensive by the vast majority of people. but offending people is a highly rewarding endeavour. everyone should try it.

Let's take a multi-prong approach, Lima. But first, Tehsin bhai, banning him won't stop him from coming here & browsing. That may not work. So, here's what I would do:

1. We here, can insult the heck out of Vlad for his posts being too, way too long. As everyone knows, his posts, each of them is a research paper on their own merit. So, smaller posts. With any luck, this will cut his usage time by 97%.

2. Give him unlimited use. Yes!. Let him have an icon at the bottom, always on, while he uses his PC (with a broadband connection, of course) for studies. Online libraries, research, software, whatever needed, without ever be away from BC. Let him set his own limits. This might work wonders.

3. Yes, you might wanna start talkin' about Vlad Jr. Trust me, that's like the "Shock & awe" attack on a man's mind.

4. Try & come to terms with it. It's not all bad. After all, there are some positives here for you. Like a member here pointed out, he is making a tremendous effort to be a part of your culture. Give him some positive feedbacks.

Y'know, my fingers are hurting from typing so much. I'm sorry, but I think Vlad should complete this himself.

Best of luck.

You guys are so absolutely halarious!

I'm glad you care.

Ok, I have a huge paper due on Monday, and am wasting time again.

I'm going to say good bye, and thank you on behalve of Lima, for all the ideas, because by the time she gets home, I will have wasted several more hours.

However, this will not be the end of me. Know that I plan to write in the summers. Next year I finish my Bacherlor of Arts majoring in Psychology and minoring in Subcontinental History. Than elementary school certificate one year, and after that I will teach. I will use my summers to write books. Hopefully someone will publish them, if not, than I'll start a blog or something. (and don't worry I'll do a couple of Spell Checks for the books)

If I get published some of you may recognize yourself (or user names,) and certainly, www.banglacricket.com will be there. Look for the name Vladimir, and something on Bangladesh or our culture clashes, or my families, bibliography. Who knows, there will be many books.

.... till then than.

I am now changing the password AND the email so I can't get in ever again.

That was a good idea whoever suggested it. Thanks !

Khuda Havis - Bangladeshi
Naschledanou - Czech
Ciao - Italy??
Ahoj - Czech

p.s. I expect, at current growth rates, 10,000 members by 2007.

just goes to show you, you can never assume anything.

with that being said, i have never seen any of her 'acting', but i have a pretty good idea of what that entails and i have heard about it from people who have seen her 'work.'
