3. Mahmadul Hasan Joy
4. Towhid Hridoy
5. Shakib al Hasan
6. Liton Das
7. Akbar Ali
8. Mehedy Hasan Miraz
9. Mohammad Saifuddin
10. Noor Hossain
11. Abul Hasan

Reserves:

12. Tanzim Hasan Tamim
13. Afif Hossain
14. Saleh Ahmed Shawon
15. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury

And I know Akbar just won the WC but was a 19 year old Mushy not a better skipper/batsman than Akbar is at the present?

Abul was good at U19 level. This team bats down to 11. Mrittunjoy is better than Shoriful in my opinion.

Miraz 1300+ runs, 80 wkts
Akbar Ali (Captain & Wkt Keeper) 47 avg (Bat)
Abul Hasan 45 wkts 18 avg
Saifuddin 19 avg (Bat), 45 wkts, 20 avg (Bowl)
Shoriful Islam 44 wkts 25 avg

Extra:
Saleh Ahmed Shawon 60 wkts, 15 avg (Bowl)
Mahmudul Hasan 1100+ runs, 66 wkts

Aah with the key stats

Also shows that mushy and tamim don't have great stats in U-19 level. It was Shakib and Mehrab Jr

Actually Mehrab Jr was a bigger hit than Shakib in that level. He was brilliant in the U19 world cup

Tamim never scores in world cups. He was a good player overall though. Had a strike rate of 99 and could get the team off to quick starts.

You are welcome.
The choice of the captain was the easiest for me. I could have given the gloves to Anamul and Captaincy to Shakib or Miraz and bring in Mehrab Jr. but that would be injustice to Akbar and the ALL TIME U-19 TEAM.

No-one is a bigger fan of Shakib than me. If he is the iceman, then Akbar Ali is times 2. His elder sister (closest to him) passed away during the WC (later stage) giving birth to twins. First the family didn't tell him. Then he found out before the semis I believe. He still had the nerve to concentrate on his team and guide them to victory. To deal with a tragedy of this big magnitude at the age of 18 and still concentrate of work on hand. I wouldn't be able to nor can I think how to cope with it.

Suggesting Akbar Ali is twice as composed as Shakib is an example of why we are seen as the most delusional supporters in the world. Nonetheless, I hope he can translate his Youth cricket success to the behemoth that is International Cricket.

My XI for the all-time U19 up 'til 2020 is probably this current lot. The previous years were chokers and goodie-2-shoes players in the mould of our international players. Hopeless, easily satisfied, no real drive to win anything.

This is the first bunch we've seen with aggression, hunger and mental capacity to back it up. Really hope BCB ensure they're given the best possible facilities to achieve their respective potentials.

Well since WC performance carries more weight I will discount him.

I mean he probably scored most of those runs against Zim and SL

glad you mentioned mehrab jr. he was more successful than shakib at under 19. i think captain shoud be anamul huq bijoy or mehedi miraz because both have better captaincy record and performance. akbar ali wont make my team. shadman islam anik is also a star performer in under 19 team

Have you ever lost an elder sibling who was so near and dear to you? Especially it was supposed to be a good news for having twins.

Tbh Shakib is not really matured. He doesn't know how to deal with comments from media, he doesn't captain the team properly and cannot report an approach made by a bookie

Shakib is shrewd, mentally strong but he lacks maturity even at 32.

About Akbar it's not only about playing after death of sister. It's about how he carried himself as a captain and how he spoke.

Tanzid Tamim has the best SR in U19 cricket ever from any nation who scored more than 1000 runs so he have to be in for me.

I would swap him for one of Hridoy/Joy despite they scoring so much but for me Tanzid is the real deal and the future star!
