Are we having the same lineup as the 1st test? Or it will be a game time decision? Can someone please confirm?

Traditionally this has been a late affair from our part. We'll have to just wait and see.

most probably we gonna see one or two changes in the final line-up..according to the ntv news today..N Iqbal is all but confirmed to replace T Imran.. NIqbal gonna bat in the middle order in that case..there is also a strong speculation about bringing in the 3rd spinner in M Rana

So, N. Iqbal, Rana and Talha is in. Rana as 3rd spinner; that means Rafiq and Enamul will be in the team.
Tusar is out. Who else is out then ?
Or are they playing with 13 players this time?

rasel? rajib?
I don't think so. rasel showed success. Rajib has pace. Don't think a third spinner is a good option.

There is a possibility for Rana to be replaced for Aftab, according to yesterday's Prothom Alo report. I welcome the decision if it happens. But I wonder why Talha should be in the first eleven. What is it soo special he did overnight that makes the team management think about his inclusion???

According to NTV news.. the only addition to the squad after 1st test is N.Iqbal making it a 12 member squad. They also said that a same 11 member squad would be declared if N. Iqbal was fully fit (he has a shoulder injury as they said). So nothing clear about Rana playing. Nafis is supposed to replace Tushar if fit.

talha is pacier than rajib...talha can work up 85 mph given his slight frame. rajib may be faster than talha, but hasn't shown it yet (or the speed guns are not working properly).
andy roberts has said that talha could get up 90 mph (144 km/h) if he added some mucle bulk.
rana will probably bat better than aftab, lets hope so. three pacers may work as that is what SL did in the first test.
and 3 spinners are decent too.
thank god tushar is out. he is test worthless.
so what is the 11?
JO
Abir
Sumon
Ash
Nafees
Rana
Pilot
Rafique
Rasel
Shahadat
Enamul
doesn't look as though talha will fit unless he is 12th man, but then he won't bowl.

Bhai, jai 11 kheluk, 100 over bat kortey parley ami khuski. This is a batting paradise for off-form batsmen. Just think what the inform SL batsmen will score.

This will be a true test of Bangladesh's Character. It's going to be intresting how we repond in our first and second innings depending on the circumstances.

damn! So much effort for 80 miles per hour bdelivery... wow I have respect for that guy. He's at least trying his hardest to contribute while others especially batsmen are throwing away their wickets cheaply. Usually Basher plays well he usually does in tests. Ash doesn't score more than 10 runs and pilot scores 30 odds runs to bring in respectability. I really think Bd should bat first and put up a decent total to show people that we belong in test cricket. But that is my wish i don't know if it will come true. Let's hope so.

I thought the match is actually being played at P Saravanamuttu Stadium in Colombo, and not in Premadasa Stadium (RPS), where the first Test was played.

I think BD should bowl first if they win the toss.
Reasons:
1. If it is a lively wicket they can look for some early wickets. Some chance of restricting SL so that BD can feel better when they bat.
2. If it is a purely batsman's wicket ,SL will bat for approx. two days- then BD can look into dragging the game into fifth day and hope for the best: A difficult task anyway, because the wicket may take turn later and there is Murali.
If BD bats first, however, the chances of an innings defeat will be greater as SL bowlers would get rest in the middle.
Agreed that it's a negative way of stategy making: but that's the best I can think of.
