The port city venue will hold the third and final ODI between the two teams on Wednesday before the first Test match gets underway on October 20. However, heavy rainfall is threatening both the matches along with the two two-dayers, slated for October 14-15 and 16-17, which will be held at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.

1. Tamim
2. Imrul
3. Sabbir
4. Mahmudullah
5. Mushfiqur
6. Shakib
7. Mosaddek
8. Nasir
9. Mashrafe
10. Al-Amin/Taijul/Shafiul
11. Taskin

Part in bold should be the only spot up for debate. Other than that, it should be the exact same XI and order as in previous match.

With rain in forecast, leaning towards Al-Amin over Taijul.

Chance of precipitation 100%. Not looking very good for a 100-over match.

Weather forecasts are usually wrong. Bangladesh should always have a reserve day for their games due to the unpredictable nature. I don't know about you, but I'm more interested in how Bangladesh does in the test series. Can we beat England in a test? will Taskin finally make his test debut? will the pitches be sporting or flat as usual in Bangladesh??

Also, why can't we produce a genuine spinner these days? you know...one that can actually rip the ball whilst having control and accuracy? we are an Asian country. The pitches in Bangladesh is almost perfect for spinners, yet we can't produce one in the mold of Herath or someone. Even South African spinners from what I saw last year turned the ball a lot than our spinners could. Even Shakib cannot turn the ball as much. BCB should do something so we can produce genuine world class spinners such as Herath, Warne, Murali, Kumble, Swann, Mushtaq, Ashwin, Vettori etc.

Is that Rubel on the cover on original post?

Btw, I had to put "may the best team win" because it is my fallback. I'd hate to be lynchpinned by an angry mob should we lose.

Word is out that Butler's out will be celebrated with a pin drop silence in the crowd and the players. Don't know how much of it will be done in the middle but everyone wants to participate I guess. Mashrafe and Shabbir was wrongly accused though, the ones who deserved some sort of reprimand were Butler, Mahmudullah, Tamim, Stokes and Bairstow, don't know how Mashrafe and Shabbir out of all the people were fined.

So expect to see one of the firsts ever in a cricket game lol, a pin drop silence from a home crowd when we score a goal/get Butler out...

Last 4 games between Bang vs England has been neck to neck. Bangladesh won 3 of them

Hoping for another cracker and Bangladesh come out with the win.

Toss will be a crucial factor and I hope Mash wins it!!!

I agree with you..... I would prefer Alamin and Taijul for shafiul and taskin

AA played on the 2nd match where he took wickets of Root, Vince, and Taylor. Overall, we did well in that series playing with two pacers only.
We need to give Noor Hossain a chance. Not coz I'm a big fan of him but its because we need a spinner. Noor can be perfect spinner adding variation and can easily boost our tail.

Shame we didn't look after this kid. Was such a talent

Although I have an optimistic sig, lol, but I got a real bad feeling about this match. As in the result, not Bangali style mara mair.

Also Taijul is already in guys. See, England news thread. Bradman has been dropped.

BCB is hunting for pacers alright, but they also need to be on the lookout for bowling allrounders particularly a leg/off spinning bowling allrounder. Pace bowling allrounder would have been goldust at once but with Taskin and Fizz who needs a paceman?

Ye.

He was fast tracked knowing his potential.

Should have also made his debut a lot earlier than when he did as he was injured

If we win the toss, we should bat first.
