Motivation of Sixes
Profile
Shabbir Rahman is a legspinner who was included in the Bangladesh squad for the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. He was in good form with the U-19 team in 2009 with a best of 4 for 13 in a one-dayer against Zimbabwe U-19 in November 2009. He made his first-class debut for Rajshahi Division in 2008-09. His idol is Shahid Afridi.

who ever gave Chokka naeem his title must have had some brain damage... if we play either naeem or mahmudullah in tense/tight chases where asking run rate is over 5... we will basically be doomed

he was also very good at SAF Games cricket

Right on.
Shabbir is a true tiger unlike Naeem and others. The boy had serious intent and urge to win.
Naeem should not be in Zim or WC squad. He just doesn't have it. Despite his "not out" we would have lost today had it not been for Shabbir.

Imagine the national team with these in form at their best allrounders:
Shakib
Nasir Hossain
Sabbir Rahman Ruman
a complete spin bowling lineup(Legspin+Offspin+Slow left arm =complete package)& all three of them can bat. a very threatening trio. could add very strong depth at our national squad wooble batting lineup as well...

at least worth trying in a match or two
a good heater, good finisher, good temperament, good enough bowler (it's his bowling dat caught eyes 1st), different sort of spinner (wrist-spinner, rare in bangladesh)
selectors must look at him with much more interest now

Karim lost the match fro us, such stupid decision,
We have Mangal who is a lot better in that situation as well Samiullah our best spinner, Shapoor had been left out for today's match, why the hell they did that? arrrgh he is faster than Hamid.
Congrats, I hope BCB will invite us for full ODI series as well T20. We can play a looooot better than what you guys saw today, Once we are full team, we can for sure play some good cricket. For this match we didn't had three of our best players. Our best batsman Noor Ali was in on pilgrim in Mekka(Noor Ali in maiden first-class match made maiden centuries in both of his innings against a very strong Zimbabwe XI" he is one of only 2-4 players who have done that in history cricket.

All you Naeem bashers... I don't wanna play the broken record again, but T20 is not his game. He's batting style and abilities are those of a builder, and not a hard-hitter. He's clueless in what he's being asked to do, because the moronic selectors are too stubborn to look at things the right away - instead they hold on to the trend, because somebody started it, and they can never come out of it. Naeem's place should be at no. 3 in the ODI, and no. 5/6 in the Test team, and should NOT be playing T20s.

I hope BCB invites Afghans too. They look promising.
Just so you know, if we had our full strength team, you guys couldn't cross 80.

And the Bangladesh team was a second string one. Afghanistan, however, sits very high on my teams-to-cheer-for list Good talent that Hamid is, and Nowroz is a run-machine. Congratulations of beating Pakistan and making it to the gold-medal game!

Pathan bro, you guys should be very proud of your team.
This is just remarkable rise for the Afghan cricket.
Silver medal at this Asiad should certainly put your team more into the focus.

I have seen (a torture) Naeem bat at the Oval ground. Believe me he should not be anywhere near the national side (test, odi, t20) on current form. He has serious batting deficiencies!

Jaar atto limitation tar national team e khelar dorkar nai... we don't need half cricketers in both departments... For a long time we carried Farhad Reza as excess baggage... Naeem associate der shathe muralidharan hoileo against a quality side bowler hishebe mair khaabe...or atleast breakthrough dite parbena... His body language is like a loser... batting korar shomoi he looks really apologetic for some reason... plus ajke what was annoying wasn't the lack of boundaries...but his mindless swipes at thin air against Afghanistani bowlers... I can't understand how u think he is good enough no 3 at international cricket!

Thank you my friend, I have lots of Afghan close friends, we always delightfully share cricket talk of Afghanistan. Glad to see Afghanistan is progressing really fast, I really hope our officials should invite Afghan team more often, so that we can benefit of each others by playing.
I guess you do aware of that the team Bangladesh played here today is the second team of BD, not the national team. Our main team is at home practicing for the upcoming Zimbabwe series and for the worldcup. None of big team(Pak, SRI; Bangladesh) have sent their full strength team there..
