I'm very impressed with Abu Jayed.
He's a very thinking bowler. A good student of the game. Thanks, Walsh! You finally got a good one to work with

He was a great player but not a good coach.

So sarbhes done better than others so stick with him for awhile I suppose, hopefully young’uns will develop (shoriful, mithu etc). His pace is the only real worry but so far he’s made it work.

I thought Jayed would be another Abul. But pleasantly surprised. Granted this is one of the weakest batting units going around, but he swung the ball prodigously in Antigua, and in Jamaica he's improved his lines.

He's a perfect 3rd seamer for overseas tours but doesn't have the pace to be a spearhead.

Do we even have a second seamer? Mustafizur is first but there is no other seamer good enough in tests for us?

Probably the only positive from the series. But I do hope he improves on accuracy further. He swings it pretty well which is a rare specialty for a BD seamer. But his lack of pace will be an issue unless he can be very consistent.

and for heavens sake.. please keep him focused on tests for now

It is not exactly rocket science. The guy with decent FC stats and consistent performances in domestics behind him is the only successful pacer in the series. Now obviously good FC stats won't always translate into success at Test level but in what universe are pacers with 40/50 averages in FC cricket (or 80+ in Test cricket) going to succeed in Test cricket? What kind of logic is this?

But but what if they take a 8 wicket haul?

Roy should have clearly been in the team

The selection committee should all be fired for picking Rubel for tests

If he plays 50 tests, he'll end up as Bangladesh Test GOAT.

He's already got 10 under his belt
