Not a bad squad for T20s. good to see Nazmul in favor. Did Pybus have any say in the team?

Excellent selection, mixture of experience and youth.

I really want Juniad to perform, has much talent but disappoints.

Ashraful? seriously?

It looks OK to me except Ashraful. You can't keep picking someone who is not performing for the last 2-3 years.

From a statistically not significant data set, Ash has the most runs and the 2nd highest average in T20Is. He also has the highest score.

Though I'm glad to see Ash's name in the list, I was rather hoping that he got picked by Kent and that he could shine in the county arena.

Good to see they left out Shubho. Not sure about Farhad Reza too. Jahurul Islam could have been picked in place of F. Reza. He could do wicket keeping and let mushy run in the outfield for a change

I'm a bit torn about whether Shakib (or even Ashraful if selected by Kent) should participate in this series. I mean yes it has a strong South African side but we're playing only 2, maybe 3, games against them. Is it worth giving up 2 months of county cricket for that? Especially if, as the Essex coach indicated, Shakib would get T20, Friends 40 and first-class games??

I think you're incorrect there. Both Zunaed and Nazimuddin have higher scores in T20Is.

I think this is a good T20 squad overall. The selection of Ziaur Rahman (and the non-selection of Imrul) especially shows that the selectors have finally gotten their head around T20s. Only thing that's bothering me a little is Mominul being left out. He could've been picked ahead of one of the pacers since Ziaur is already there.

I guess this means Ash won't turn out for Kent afterall. I think considering the broader picture both Shakib and Ash should have been allowed to go to England.

Good selection, specially for t20. Abul hasan should be debuted in this series, when rubel is injured. But too many pace bowlers in this squad,Mash, najmul, raju, forhad reza and ziaur, five pacers in the 15 men squad too much for bangladesh. Where's ziaur in the squad,no need of forhad reza!

Nope.
It's too early for Mominul(16) & Arafat. Let them be more mature & professional.

Not 2 matches, we will play minimum five t20s including practice match and total six matches including final.

I don't think Momin is 16, he is 20 yrs old and have played for a team. Abul or farhad one should have been replaced with sabbir Rahman, a handy off spinner and middle order hard hitter. Otherwise excellent selection

totally agree with you

as for the team, this is the best team that we have atm...rubel and shafi is out with injury so the pace attack is little weak

Bechara Arafat Sunny... was the best spinner at bpl and cudnt even get into the 27 men team...

I am so glad that Ziaur Rahman finally got the nod... he is an explosive batsmen...

I wonder why people are opting for so many new faces. We should concentrate in grooming up the current XI we have. Llook at the Australians, they make their debut at the age of 25-28, and eventually ends up with a fantastic career.
