On what basis Abul gets a chance? Everytime he gets picked I go to his profile to see his stat. What I see is a bowling average of 123 in test with 4.21 economy rate, 0 wickets after playing 6 One day international with an economy rate of 6.84(yes, you read it right), 2 wickets in an average of 54 with an economy rate of 9.81 in T20I.
If I look into his domestic performance, he List A average is 41.80 with an economy rate of 5.18, and Twenty20 is slightly better with an average of 28.89 having an economy rate of 9.49.
Amazing record as a bowler who keep getting call!

I am not a fan but I think he was just too raw when he played international cricket. When I last saw him, he was the worst pace bowler i had ever seen. No control over line or length and no intelligence. He would get smacked for fours and sixes and have no expression.
However that was a long time ago and I am willing to give him the benefit of doubt until I see him playing again. Maybe he is an improved and matured bowler now. What is certain is that we do need a pace all rounder especially for Champions Trophy.

Okay, I got your point. Then, you may excuse his record from international and see his domestic record. Horrendous!

Tbh he doesn't have much of a stats to back him up. What he has though is a hope of a pace bowling allrounder, we have been searching for a genuine pace allrounder for a long time. We got spinning ones but we desperately need a pacer who can hit and score runs. It will make our lower middle order a lot stronger and push us over 300 most of the times. If you notice after Mashrafe or after Miraz in the tests, the number 9,10,11 are absolutely rubbish, they can't even hold the frekaing bat. It is almost like Bangladesh can go from 200-5 to 220 all out, that's just not on.
If you ask me, Saifuddin has more potential than any other pace bowling allrounders in Bangladesh. Farhad Reza, Mukhtar Ali, Abul Hasan, Rony have all disappointed one way or the other. Time to bring in Saifuddin.

I have pinned a lot of hopes on Saifuddin since the day he won us the game against SA U-19 with a fifer in 2015. Hope he makes it far. He had an injury problem which is a worry though

Been saying it for awhile, should be investing in rony and saifuddin to make a pace unit with fizz and taskin, then guys like rubel or whoever else can be selected in their specialty format but taskin, fizz, rony and saifuddin should be invested in as all format pacers.

Sanjamul or Roy should have bowled instead of Hom. Can never understand the fascination with this guy

Lets see how Sunjamul goes. He is the only specialist spinner so far to bowl. If he gets tonked then i think the pitch is a belter
