If Sabbir can bowl decently in actual match, then I'm hopeful that our bowling attack would not perform terribly. I expect both Sakib and Miraz to cause havoc and Taijul to come good as well. Rabbi should act like a work-horse by bowling tight line and lengh.

Al-Amin should have been included in the XI instead of Shafiul to keep pressure from one end whilst spinners do the damage from the other end.

I dont get this. If these unknown leggies can pick wickets then half effective jubair can too. Why kick him out of the loop? Pathetic

^^ Tanvir Haider is not totally unknown. Unlike Jubair he played all matches in DPL and has almost decent FC record. He's apparently a handy batsman too.

perhaps that's what we need now.

if u don't have wicket taking bowlers .... then u have to have bowlers who can bowl consistently and bowl maidens.

once this was NZ's pace strategy in tests.

After Danny Morrison retired and before the Geoff allot, shane bond era.

simon doull, gavin Larsen, dion nash, chris harris. they were just bowling concentrating on keeping good line and length sad bowling maidens to create pressure on batsman.

^^ Al-Amin bowled 7 maidens out of his 10 overs today giving away just 8 runs. Just imagine AA keeping it extremely tight from one end (as work-horse) and Sakib, Miraz & Taijul creating chances from the other end - that should have been our bowling strategy in the 1st Test match.

Because half the fans think Taskin and Jubair should be in the team.

Not even that. Hom is the best bowler of the three. He's a bowling AR, they are batting AR's. Makes no sense to think all three backups should be batsmen and have no bowler as backup.

Only questionable selection might be Shafiul. Good squad called otherwise.

Hopefully, conditions in ZACS will be very similar to MA Aziz stadium.

Yes you named two of them.
How about Shahriar Nafees and Alok Kapali, two seasoned first class players. Alok has been consistently good and can bowl good leg spin. Tanveer Haider and Shabbir showed us what a good leg spinning option could have done in the 3rd ODI, something we have consistently missed and other teams are capitalizing here.

For fast bowling, Taskin may not be fit now but where is Al Amin, Rony or even Subhashish. If we include Hom and Shafiul in the first test how are you going to win or let alone draw the test match with a bowling attack of 3/4 bowlers? There is no chance. Also, where is Jubair really? Last he played in DPL he took 6 wickets in his first match. Are you sure that Miraz, Shafiul, Hom deserve their places instead of Mosaddek, Al Amin or Jubair. Look this is the fact, in order to win a match at international level, you need ALL ELEVEN Players to be the best, you can't win with one or two sub par level and think others are going to make it up for you. No way!! Even if we go with ONE bad selection, the game is over. You don't even have to look too far back, that is the fact.

Facts are, Mosaddek should be in the squad, he is a proven performer yet he is not in the squad. Trust me knowing the pattern of the selection, we fail in the first test miserably and then we will see the test side that we need and automatically you will see a better performance in the 2nd test, still probably not good enough to beat England but it is the thought and execution that is needed here. Not only the players, the choice of captain is disgusting as well. I am a fan of Mushfique and I stand up for him but he does not deserve to be the test captain. That's a fact. He hasn't earned it and will never earn it. Also his plates are too full anyways. This is not the best team we have atm, that's the fact. And also if you are saying that the fight for draw is the best we can do atm, which we are given the selection of players, then let's not even play.
