Lower Order Problem
How do you solve this? we have a major lower order problem.
Position 6,7 are they able to chase down 120+ runs in 10 overs? RR: 12.
My suggestion is: Either move up Mahmudullah to no.5 (by dropping Mithun) or drop Mahmudullah completely (highly unlikely).
5. Mahmudullah/Litton
6. Mosaddek
7. Sabbir

Dropping Mithun for Rubel against Sri Lanka would be a good start.

I think if you want to chase something big then riyad and Sabbir have to be apart of it, the 3rd guy is hard to pick between liton and mosaddek for me, mainly because we’ve only seen liton up the order but hey maybe it might work for him tonbat a bit lower.

Soumya has batted once in the 6th position and twice in the 7th position, sure, we tried soumya down th order. 3 games is not trying someone in a position.
Also at the time as said soumya was out of form, the team wasn’t as balanced and Liton was also out of form. Liton did pretty well in the warmups, form him to get dropped when is finding his groove at this level after years, hopefully it doesn’t set him back again. I get why he was dropped, they picked Tamim, soumya and shakib to play ahead of him and Liton in shorter formats doesn’t play middle or lower order so mithun and mosa are getting picked ahead of him, but in saying that Liton was the one to show the best form out of himself, mithun and mosa in those practice games.

Lower order is normally an issue for most teams. BD maim problem is top and middle order.
Our batsman play rash shots, some lack foot movement and some have no game sense

4/5 down with 120 to get in last overs. 9 out of 10 times, no team can do this. Even WI. They have enough fire power in their lineup. Not in ODIs.

Finishing is a big problem for us.
We had so many wickets left today, yet we could not accelerate at the end.
We needed to get 174 runs from 15 overs today with RR 11.60 (was on 208/4)
Could not get the runs, lower order failed us again.
We got 125 runs of the last 15 overs (that's 8.33 runs per over)
Not good enough.

We just don't have Afridi type of finisher in BD.
