Al Amin has 23 avg but comes after Ebadat. Makes you wonder about BD think tank.

If player like mushy still doesn’t know how to play test match then what you expect from the rest of the team. These guys should retire from all format of cricket. It is nothing but all shameful act of stupidity and immaturity.

Bunch of Jokers
They all had a nice trip to Incredible India. Am sure some Saaris were bought to take back for gifts for their wives.

They should wear the 'saari/chuuris' themselves

Some very encouraging words from Ravi, he said that Bangladeshi team is a work in progress, they were missing Tamim and shakib, he stressed the importance of a good fast bowling attacks, if Bangladesh wants to compete well, he said winning and losing is part and parcel, but it's important to find players and backing them.

We have been a work in progress for the last 2 decade. This kind of comments works for Afg, not for us anymore. Can you imagine what our state of cricket would be the moment Shakib and co retires. Back to playing with the associates

We lost to Afg couple of months ago at home even with Shakib. Depending on individual brilliance is hurting us more than helping us.
We can play another two decades in international arena, but until and unless we care to improve our domestic FC leagues, we won't see any progress if not any regress.

I said in the mominul thread, part of it has to be professionalism of the sport in the country, attitude and work ethic especially.
The reason the best players are the best is because no matter how good they get they still want to get better so they push themselves more and more each day.
Kohli and smith were already top players 5 years ago but they’ve continued to get better.

The point of my post wasn't to glorify shakib, rather how the state of our team is atm. It only looks decent because of players like Shakib and co for their individual contribution. As a unit, BD team sucks. We are going back to Akram Khan's era with these new modons introduced in the team ...

But According to Paon, there is nothing wrong with our domestic leagues

Papon is probably not completely wrong - some of the domestic players, such as Junaid, Jahurul, and Marshal prolly can handle pace better than current line-up of batsmen we have in the Test team, barring Mushfiq.
Unfortunately, our imbecile selectors think the dead-track specialists, who do well at home, will also do well overseas.
Standard of domestic cricket and standard of selectors both need to get better.
