Default BCCI, Srinivasan threatens BCB - Ridiculous bullying, harrasement, blackmailing

Srinivasan is crossing all limits. BCB must stand firm and protest against this ridiculous man,

http://www.dhakatribune.com/cricket/...big-3-proposal

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has threatened Bangladesh for its position against the Big 3 proposal on test cricket to the International Cricket Council, reports Indian Bengali daily Anandabazar.

“If you [Bangladesh] do not agree, Indian cricket team would not visit Bangladesh to play T20 World Cup. We will also withdraw our team from Asia Cup,” BCCI President N Srinivasan said.

“We will see what you [Bangladesh] do after that,” he warned.

Default Pathetic BCCI threatens to pull out of Asia Cup, WT20

http://www.dhakatribune.com/cricket/...big-3-proposal

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has threatened Bangladesh for its position against the Big 3 proposal on test cricket to the International Cricket Council, reports Indian Bengali daily Anandabazar.

“We will see what you [Bangladesh] do after that,” he warned.

Let them pull out if they want, BCB should not care about such rubbish and stand firm about their protest.

What have BCCI done for BCB anyways - no invitation for 20 years after gaining test status.

This was expected. The fans need to keep the pressure up on BCB. Otherwise, who knows what they will do.

Ok..Take Asia Cup away from us BCCI. Dont bother coming to bd for WC. If you want you can take that away too. But there is no way we will give up our rights. Be strong BCB. Excess of anything is bad.

Loving the sprit Roman. COmpletely agreed. Who has to care if BCCI pulls off the Asia cup? After this I even don't like to see India playing on our grass.

BCB stands ground on Test rights

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has reiterated its position regarding issues pertaining to full member rights of status and participation during a discussion on a draft position paper put forward by a working group of the Finance & Commercial Affairs committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The paper seeks considerable structural changes to the ICC and its governance, future tours programme and Test cricket.

Speaking from Dubai, UAE, BCB Acting CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdury said: “We have communicated to the ICC Board that the BCB will not endorse any proposal that compromises Bangladesh’s full member rights in terms of status and participation.

“Bangladesh was the only full member nation to take a stand on this issue.”
BCB stands up and fighting...

Don't really care about Asia cup, world cup, they can't just bully us. I don't even care if we lose test status.

Not sure if this is true or not but if India doesn't turn up then it's their loss. Yes, revenue wise their might be a risk but aren't all the rights to Asia cup and WC T20 sold already? Even if India pull out the parties buying the TV rights are contractually binding......so it's not like they can stop showing it on TV or stop paying.
And these are threats that have repercussion on Indian team as well. How long can they bank on their golden goose IPL if India does not play at the world level? Indian fans themselves will go against their own board.
Don't give in BCB........so far you have been showing some balls and the Bangladeshi fans are with you.

I think BCCI can't withdraw from T20 World Cup as they have signed agreement of participation in ICC events till 2015 ODI WC.

I don't know about Asia cup though. If it's true, then BCCI definitely come across as amateur while negotiating with other boards with these petty threats. Not expected from professional organization who is already performing very poorly as compared to it's market & potential in ICC events till now.

One thing is clear that BCCI simply doesn't have necessary bargaining chips with BCB as compared to WICB or SLCB, It's not like BCCI used to tour Bangladesh as frequently compared to Sri lanka or West Indies & my impression about BCB is that they are not as dependent on BCCI for raising money compared to SLCB & WICB.

When you come into Money and power overnight, you sometimes don't know how to deal with the responsibility. This also gives you an insight into the person. I bet he did this to a lot of his competition on his way to becoming the BCCI Czar. Typical Hindi movie villain.

You are right. We earn in a very different way than other boards or you can say we are haappy the way we are.

When people get money and power they become a monster and Mr Srinivashan is acting like that. Law of average says he will fall very soon. Pls don't take it personally.

Not like our board if full of saints but now that they, BCB members, are out in the public eye and being pushed by a foreign power, even though they are a friend of the current government, they are fighting for their own positions of money and power.....it's good tussle of crooks.

As long as our PM does not intervene to help out BCCI under the threat of Indian govt. we might see BCB fighting for BD cricket.....let's buckle up and see what happens.

Wasn't Srinivasan charged with some IPL fixing scandals? Or his son-in law was arrested or something like that. Then he was asked to resign. But looks like he is back to bullying.

Cricket's governing body is being run by some cobblers, shameless people and money seeking wolfs. Cannot believe this. No wonder Mr Srini was involved with match fixing in IPL.

Cricket's impending crisis is not this great game, but the greedy administrators. If the 4 boards do not come forward and save this then we will have to say RIP Cricket.
