May be,it's still unofficial. It's still on Independent TV.

T20 2014 and then Asia CUP and also Brazil 204! Luckily the world didn't end on 21 December!

BCB needed to postpone that tri-series?! Then again tri-series before or after Asia Cup would feel like too much alike cricket games against same team.

Asia Cup 2014

Bangladesh to host Asia Cup

The 2014 Asia Cup will be held in Bangladesh after original hosts India cited a packed international schedule as the main reason for being unable to organise the tournament. The likely dates for the tournament will be February 24 to March 8. The decision was taken at the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) board meeting on April 8 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where India informed the other ACC members that they were focused instead on finalising the itinerary for the New Zealand tour, scheduled to be held in February-March next year.

It is understood that Bangladesh volunteered to host the Asia Cup and even decided to postpone the scheduled tri-series involving Sri Lanka and Pakistan, which was to be held around the same period. According to an official privy to the minutes of the meeting, the dates could be changed again considering India have been facing "hiccups" in negotiating dates with Cricket New Zealand.

I think India wants to take revenge of last Asia Cup, by Winning against us and winning the Cup... They lost it here.

It's a good decision. It would've been just an overkill having that tri series before the Asia Cup. Might as well have that the next year.

Our Guests Can Have Everything They Want Excepts The Asia Cup

এই টুর্ণামেন্ট টাইগাররা না জেতার আগ পর্যন্ত এটা আমাদের দেশে অনুষ্ঠিত হতেই থাকবে বলে মনে হচ্ছে!

Well, there's only 2 other countries that could have hosted the event if India pulled out, us and SL.

Consider this a small donation from India to their charlies for the latters constant bum licking to the former.

Isn't the host country supposed to benefit the most in terms of media rights or does the ACC takes the biggest chunk ?

Either way, hosting a small tournament like Asian Cup is too much political nuisance India can do without.

We used to call some Indian fans as arrogant, and it take only one semifinal for us to sound one of them.

- Reality check.

This time BCB should use Cox's bazar, sylhet and SBNS rather than ONLY using SBNS

Pakistan - problem hosting in Mumbai or in greater Maharashtra. (West)

SL - problem hosting in south.

BD- no problem, but East might get a tingling sensation of Bengali pride.

Too much problem for India to host its neighbors. Tells a lot about the relation they have with thy neighbors.

Just can't play India in India, huh? Have we ever played them on their soil? Must have in some 80s or 90s Asia Cups, right?

Clever BCCI. They want to get extra practice in Bangladesh before WT20.
