3. Let's look back at what happened yesterday. You had two difficult bowlers in India. And 12 good batting overs. Batsmen kept throwing their wickets away starting with Mithun. Coming back to 2 off 3 balls. Now, just the ball before Mushfiqur's response after the lucky boundary said all there is to it. They had already imagined their big revenge against the mighty India on their home ground. Not victory but revenge.
Now this revenge thought process clouds the mind from much needed common sense. They didn't want to just win. They wanted to hit postcard 6 to crush Indisn team. Probably they already started thinking about post match celebration and running to the dressing room, around the ground and rubbing it in for Indian fans.
Wrong recipe for consistent success and perfomance in any stream of life. You need clarity of thought process in chaotic situations to win the moment. But with this emotional baggage and victim mindset that fans and cricket team carry, clarity of thought is far cry. Instead of using words like revenge and feeling good about itself, maybe the team and fans and media should only look at ways to get better and move to the next level.
