Saifuddin is one of the best cricketer at this moment. Most important among the young players. Its our duty to manage his work load. Previously we have injured many players and destroyed their career with over work like robiul islam shiplu, mohammed shahid etc.

There feels like a feud now between Rhodes/Shakib and Mash/Shujon conglomerate? I am worried about team morale. Combined with Mushfiqur's decoy stance we are doomed.

Anyone else noticed how his performance fell after he changed his name from Saifuddin to Shaifuddin?

What prompted the change?

Just checked, he is included as shaifuddin in the Players name submission list of BCB.

Still the World Cups 5th highest wicket taker before missing Aussie game and the second highest contributing player in the team after Shakib overall and that too while playing with injury on flattest of pitches.

One of the most underrated player in the team right now. We need him urgently vs India to contain runs in death overs.

Probably the only guy right now who can actually bowl the yorker. The bowling attack is looking very insipid other than him.

Don't understand this fetish with 'sh'.

Shakib, not Sakib

Khaled Mashud, not Masud

Shaifuddin, not Saifuddin

Shabbir, not Sabbir

Do they all want to differentiate like poet J Dash, not Das?

But 'sh' in English does not make sense because they spell their name with 'স' in Bangla, and not with 'শ', unlike জীবনানন্দ দাশ who spelled his last name with 'শ'.

Its the fault of both the players and the bideshi media. Players cant write their name properly in passports etc. Miraz writes his name as Mahedy. Anamul will be pronounced as Enamul but he writes his name as Anamul. I don't know why they do this and why others don't correct their mistakes. Even Atahar can't pronounce the names correctly. He calls Taskin as Tashkin. Some of the cricket experts still call Sakib Al Hasan as Shakibul Hasan.

Can he reverse?

And off topic... What's wrong with Fizz? Saif is outperforming him.

Saifuddin has so much potential to be the next big superstar. I hope he really works on both departments as he has the potential. Would like to see him bowling at high 130s and improve his hitting ability a little bit. I already rate his bowling on par with Hardik.. just need to catch up on the batting to make him a genuine allrounder. Good thing is, he has lots of time to improve

shakib, mushfiq and saif so far are three best performer

His batting skill is still not fully exposed. I am so glad for him. After Mashrafee (the player) retires, he will fill up the role with better stat.

Shaifuddin is a proper batsman and should be treated as such.

If my memory serves right, our all rounders often focus on bowling more than batting - the only exception has been Shakib and Mahmudullah.

And overtime they become: না পারে ব্যাটিং, না পারে বোলিং

Saifuddin is still riding on the novelty factor like many BD players - it remains to be seen if he can sustain his bowling performance once the novelty factor wears off.

The people who don't understand his value to the team and underrates him still usually base it on match bowling stats on ESPNCricinfo live commentary and the speed reading once in an over on TV rather than watching him bowl live closely especially in the death overs and see how many runs he saves. We missed him dearly vs Australia

Much better player than many of the players we talk about. Underrated All round capability. Better technic than Soumya and better shot selection than Litton/Mithuns i would say. Just because he has a mindset of no.7/8 slogger and probably obvious lack of batting practise due to him not being a top order batsman unless hes better batsman than many of our top order starlets in terms of basics.

Lovely. My new fav. player.
