BCB announced BD A-team to play four-day and one-day matches against Tamilnadu state side at Chennai. Mithun has been selected as the captain for both versions.

Four-day Squad:

One-day Squad:
Saif Hassan, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Naim Sheikh, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Mohammad Mithun (Captain), Shamim Patwary, Towhid Hridoy, Akbar Ali (WK), Tanvir Islam, Sheikh Mahedi, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, Ripon Mondol, Mukidul Islam, Rishad Hossain, Rejaur Rahman Raja.

Tamil Nadu main team is away playing in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. So, basically this is their 2nd XI. Other than the captain, players in the squad have little to no FC experience. IMO, our players would have benefited more continue to play in NCL. Depleting the NCL to play against a Ranji 2nd XI seems moronic.

One-day players (Bijoy, Naim, Mahedi, etc) did not get visa, so FC players are playing the one-day series as well. So far they lost first two one-dayers to Tamil Nadu 2nd XI.
