Nurul? Don't see him getting picked. We should play Mosaddek surely.

^^ On a second thought, I will go with Rifat's idea of picking three spinners. There is not enough on Hyderabad to go with three pacers.

Also, prolly not smart to risk Taskin yet in subcontinental Test matches.

Suhrawadi Shuvo would be my back up spinner based on his recent records in NCL.

I still feel strongly that Mushfiq needs to take up the crucial #4 slot. He can't do that if he remains as the keeper.

Shakib should be the only SLA we take there, Indians have never had troubles playing our slas. They have also had no issues playing against any leggies regardless if they're World Class or mediocre, but this generation of Indians have had issues against Offies.

^^Record of visiting spinners in India in last three years - http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/eng...s;type=bowling

Adil Rashid and Imran Tahir, both leggies, are leading the chart. Santner (SLA) also had moderate success. I would have preferred to see Jubair against them if he was inform, but in current situation, Taijul is the next best thing we have.

To everyone who kept Shahid in their XI, he is not in the 30 men preliminary squad declared for the test. Shahid is due to visit Australia for the knee surgery but BCB hasnt announced the date yet. I think he will be out of for atleast 6 months if not more.

Lol for some reason I remember Indians battering Rashid this recent tour The average tally is pretty dismal for all the spinners there except Tahir and Harmer

I pick Nasir Hossain ahead of Mosaddek:

*) just scored a double ton in NCL.

**) the main reason why he was dropped from the test setup was due to poor form, now i think it is time to cash in on his hunger, with Riyad out of form and nasir inform and both right handed it is a natural substitution.

Rashid still did way better than his buddy Moeen.

Don't tell me you want to see Hom instead of Taijul.

^^ Four pacers on Hyderabad pitch?! They will come home injured after each having to bowl 50+ overs even though they may only bowl one innings.

One thing I would hate is another freaking debut, gotta go with experience, thats why we experimented in this tour right?

My Squad:
1) Tamim (Captain)
2) Imrul
3) Mominul
4) Mahmudullah
5) Mushfique
6) Shakib
7) Shabbir
8) Nasir
9) Miraz
10) Taskin
11) Mustafizur

I will actually take Nasir as an offspinner, and I will take Mahmudullah unlike everyone here because he has good record against India and deserves a few more chances, if he can't get a a 50 in 5 more test innings then maybe yah, look to the future.

I would pretty much go with the same except reduce one batsman for a bowler. I would take an additional spinner in place of Nasir.

I'd probably take riyad out of the xi, either give shanto another shot or throw mosaddek in their.

We have a really good young group of batsmen coming through atm with mominul, shabbir, mosaddek, shanto and litton.

Not doing so bad with pacers either in taskin, fizz, hider, and I don't know much about rabbi but whenever I've seen him he hasn't been that bad (maybe he's inconsistent).

And obviously doing alright with miraz for spin, saifuddin is a pretty solid pace all rounder prospect. Good times to be had ahead.

this should be easy...

Tamim
Imrul
Mominul
Nafees
Mushy
Shakib
Riyad
Miraz
Taijul
Shohid
Fizz

12th: Sabbir/Nasir

They are gonna pack have a strong spin attack and Nafees is one of the best players in the country against spinners. So I would give him a shot. We play Sri Lanka after so if he performs, he may find a long term slot in the side. I would keep Riyad because I think he would perform much better and also I would play him the finisher role which I believe he is better at. (Better then Sabbir at tests). I want 2 full time spinners but i wish Jubair was still around as a leggie, offie and sla combination would have been perfect! Want Shohid back asap! Taskin would be a waste in those conditions so why risk an injury. I wouldnt even mind if Fizz is rested again and get him ready for a full Sri Lankan tour. Thats the tour we should really look into winning every single game and Fizz would make that easier.

Taskin and Fizz are a must. The only wicket taking fast bowlers we have. Shahid is the 3rd seamer and rabbi would be 4th as he is erratic.

Rubel is LOI specialist and Roy is not really good enough for this level.

We may need to play only 2 quicks to accomodate an extra spinner but India most likely is going to make a.flat track as they will feel they can still beat us inside 4 days with ease.

With Tests against Aus coming up...I am expecting an Indian A team.

and what happens if riyad scores 50 in the 5th innings? we play him for the next 5 matches? its what he has been doing for 8 years.

we had ashrafool and then we had riyad..cant get rid of them for different reasons...but outcome is the same

Can't wait for this. Historic moment in Hyderabad fizerz home ground away from home! I wish Ind tour had 3 Odis or even 2 t20s!

Here's the XI I'd go with:

1) Tamim
2) Kayes
3) Mominul > (if he is out injured, then Sarkar at #3. And Mossadekh number 7.)
4) Nasir/Shakib
5) Mushy
6) Shakib/Nasir
7) Sabbir
8) Miraz
9) Taijul
10) Kamrul
11) Fizz

Bench: Shanto, Taskin, Sarkar

Hyderabad wicket seemee little more in it for seamers than spinners seeing last ipl, but who knows what will India create for this test. I'm guessing it will be a flat wicket. I don't think India will make a rank turner because we have Fizz, Miraz and Sakib and BD are well equipped on rank turners, having the bowling options available for these conditions. Yes India also has Ashwin and maybe jadeja too but I don't rate Jadeja, but only Ashwin will be threat to me
, our left handers in the top half will deal with Jadeja with ease.

So, if it is flat, might as well take Taijul and rest Taskin cause it will most like be a highscoring whoever bats first. Taskin will be roasted, same with the Indian pacers but only reverse swinging, slow bowlers, cutters (which we have in Kamrul who can reverse the old ball, Fizz has the slow, cutters), will get decent result out of it ( if the wicket is a cemented highway).

I hope they do create a turner. Will be interesting to see, who has the better bowling suited for the turning wicket.

Overall I feel it will be a DRAW. I think BD has got a good learning lessons and confidence gained playing on the bouncy NZ wicket where they been tested with the short stuffs and what not, so I don't think flat low bounce wicket in India should be a worry but thing is with BD its not the condition that is a worry most times, it's the BRAINFARTEDISM (refer to my thread 'Brainfartedism' for more info, on it).

This test, is a test not just in test cricket, but in big ways for BD future gains (getting more series in Ind). If BD do well this test, bcci and it's sponsors who sponsor Ind home cricket/series's will no longer say, "series with BD won't bing them dollars". Long gone are the 00s days.

Well Mushy, Imrul and Mominul to return for sure.

However I would like to see Soumya in the starting 11 so Riyad should give way (enough is enough).
