Produced 4 chances for 179 runs. Average of 45. Not bad for a debutant.

On a flat track.

Overseas.

Against all top order batsmen.

Yes, he may be Shahadat after 10 Tests, but he was certainly better than no ball Rubel and no pace Shahadat.

His 34th over (135 avg pace) was faster than his first over (130).

Facts dont agree with all narratives.

Roy was the least threatening of the 3 pacers to play the last Test, plus had issues with his follow through. But Rubel in a Test? WTF.

Where is Mustafiz?

This is Rubel's best chance to make an impact. He has been solid recently anyways.

I actually like this squad. For the second time I don't have any complains, one was the T20 series, I thought we went with the best squad and this test match.

^ wasn't too impressed with the pace... I think rubels highest was 143 also..

Rubel and Taskin have lot do learn about test cricket, I just think they should stay away.

Focus on ODI and T20.

Nah, only for couple of hours..

but saw Taskin pace was 140+ consistently on that match..

Rubel also did the same..

no one broke 146 kph mark lol.. not even 145...

in general, I don't think they are test players, especially Rubel.

Taskin's new to this format, willing to see how he does..

but Rubel tried and tested already, wrong format for him.

Hopefully this is the last we see of Rubel in whites. During the plunder in the first test people were missing Rubel and thought he would have made a difference, but the results showed itself in the second test which was more bowler friendly! Imagine how bad his figures would have been in the first test lol

Rubel not a test player

Taskin hit 145.9

And speed means little

Taskin created chance after chance, it was a world class performance by him

He was seaming it both ways on a good line and length at over 140, for over 20 overs, that's great quality in every sense of the word

Taskin was indeed awesome in 2nd test. Only if we held onto our catches

The movement on this this pitch is very similar to that from his ODI debut

He might be a handful in South Africa and England.

Just has to build his stamina up, develop a good bouncer (Really Important!) & maybe be a little more deceptive with his run up.

Physique wise Taskin did pretty well this series, didn't seem to get tired or burned out.

Bet it surprised those who thought he would burn out, and what not.

Big strapping lad like that needs more work (paying test matches), I say. His body will develop more he plays.

Thats based on BC logic. All the old guns who used to post here have retired. Now apart from 2 guys off the top of my head, there is hardly any poster who has any idea of what competitive sports require or what talent is or how it needs to be nurured. Else you wouldn't threads every other tour to "drop Tamim" and "bring back the guy who I wanted dropped 6 months ago."

Now I've made my share of incorrect calls (not backing Shahid in 2015 and Mominul in 2012) but thats about it as far a I remember.

I have noted your post. Lets see how much idea you have...

You made a call on Taskin, lets see how it goes

Mominul... That's a bad call

I counted Rabbi out... Better than i thought, but he might not improve much...

But I do agree with these drop this and that thread based on one series

Mahmadullah needs to be dropped though

and Anamul. You had a signature for a long time that Anamul will be the first player to avg 50+ in Tests. something like that.

Anamul has got talent.

Don't know why people count him out

50+ talent, but he can average 40 odd if he fulfills his talent

He might have attitude problems though
