Default The Pace of Taskin & Rubel in New Zealand

Q1: Who will be the fastest between Rubel Hossain & Taskin Ahmed.

Q2: What will be the fastest delivery bowled by Rubel/Taskin

Q3: Is Pace (Bowling 140+) the way forward in NZ? considering Amir and Wahab didn't do so well..

I'll go for Rubel. He is pumped up after getting dropped and will deliver for sure.

Taskin will try to bowl phast and will get to 145 but at times he doesn't use his brain

Just a reminder, the faster the ball is delivered, the faster it Wil head to the boundary...

NZ's small grounds are perfect for top-edged sixes!

BTW who bowled the fastest in BPL? Was it Rubel or Taskin? Like consistently bowling 140+? In NZ surely we will have a proper speed gun kinda scared didn't include Mustafiz! Imagine he bowls a 150kph ripper! I will jump out of the window out of joy!

This can be the speed watch thread for bangladeshi bowlers during the NZ tour.

Rubel built his speed up in the tournament, don't think he was fully fit

Taskin hit 147... Might have gone faster, not seen it

^147? did he bowl that in subcontinent? do you mean in BPL?

If that is the case, Taskin Should easily hit 148/149 KPH in NZ conditions.

Rubel looks to be bowling with real venom. It's great to see. He looked very quick in the practice match against Thunder.

150 KPH Would be freaking awesome!!! The race is AWNN...

Will it be Rubel/Taskin? I think Taskin will hit before Rubel because Taskin is young and is getting faster and faster while Rubel is seriously fast but maybe just hit prime or past his prime (not by many months though). Anyone would be good for Bangladeshi cricket, we can finally say we have bowlers who can bowl 150 ks, till now every country has had that bowler except us.

I think Rubel will be outpace Taskin comfortably. In 2015 world cup, he was consistently bowling quicker than Taskin despite Taskin visibly trying to bowl as fast as he could and even the pacers from the opponent teams. I reckon Rubel will hit 147 Kph. The only bowler faster than him in the series will probably be Grandhomme.
EDIT: As AF pointed out, Grandhomme is a medium pacer. My bad. I mixed him up with Ferguson who is also a new comer and will probably be the fastest in the series.

I am not sure whether Subashish will get a game, but this bloke should be able to hit the mid 140's in Aus, NZ.

Will be interesting to see how fast the quicks go.

Btw, Grandhomme is a 120 km medium pacer...not sure how he is supposed to be quicker than Ferguson, let alone Rubel. Lol.

A discussion on pace? Of course that will bring AF out of his Canadian sojourn to post on BC.

I saw him bowl a wonderful spell in BPL, was hitting 140 KPH+. Agree very unlikely to play.

In those small grounds, Fast Bowlers maturity will be a big factor..

How will they react or handle being hit for sixes and fours? head down or up?
Need to make sure they know how to comeback strong against the batsman.

Pretty scared about Taskin, seen how easily he got hit by batsman in BPL..

Hahaha. Attending my little cousin's wedding. Incidentally, he and ammark introduced me to cricket, which I initially did not like and thought was the weirdest sport.

Taskin's peak 141.9kph. Disappointing so far.

I just laugh that managment keep rating Taskin over Rubel over and over again.

If you're going with only 2 pacers plus Mash, then it should be Rubel not Taskin. I hope Fizz is still automatic
