Judging from his captaincy tactics, he is by far one of the most extreme in decision making...result-oriented, etc.

Sri Lanka will switch back to their regular skipper, Angelo Mathews taking over from Rangana Herath and Upul Tharanga.

Will be looking forward to the competition between Kagiso and Kusal...2 players that I very much admire in the cricketing world. Although Kusal's average is not world class at the moment, I am hopeful that it will rise after this series...in both Tests and ODIs.

Low-scoring match so far...

SL, replying to SA's 1st innings total of 286, are 181 for the loss of 7 wickets...their top order was rattled by the fast men of SA...Philander accounting for 3 of those wicket...Kyle Abbott with 2, and Maharaj and Kagiso with 1 apiece.

Disappointed to see Kusal Mendis out for a duck. I hope he comes back stronger in the second innings.

Soumya needs to take notes from Mathews. Taskin needs to take notes from Lakmal. Litton needs to study Cook's discipline to see how far he can go in intl cricket as well, with just limited skills and lots of discipline - both are beasts in domestic circuit,Cook much more so of course.

A very good delivery to dismiss Kusal

With a field set for the hook shot, Rabada went around the wicket and bowled a short delivery that was vicious, expecting Kusal to fall for the trap, the batsman saw that and went to play cheeky shot that would have gone over 2nd slip's head for a boundary...but he was undone by the pace of Kagiso, and got a faint nick that went to the jubilant Quinton de Kock.

Brilliant cricket I witnessed this morning...excellent captaincy.

Once: that's the keyword. Kagiso already been around the world...he's quite experienced now

Only sub con side to be decent in S Africa is India.
These players are young maybe next time.
